Which one do you think is better... The Comica BoomX Pro or Rode WIRELESS GO II???

I know this is out of the video subject but I was wondering if you have any advice on how to set up a Atomos Ninja V5 with the Sony A7IV? I pre ordered a A7IV and already have a Ninja 5 that I got from Amazon along with the Rode WirelessGo 2. I am going to be buying the small rig cage you have on the A7IV video you did from your link. At the moment I'm buying all my gear while the pre order of the A7IV eventually ships. Thank you so much for your advice.

Hey! That's awesome. So any reason in particular you want to record out to the Ninja V? It isn't really a quality advantage and now that the A7IV comes with better bitrate options with all-I recording, there really isn't any advantage. I typically only use it when I need to record the menus

@@learningcameras oh! Maybe I shouldn't have bought it then, I'm still within my return time frame as I just got it like 2 days ago and still in the box, perhaps I should have explained my use. I actually just want to use it as an external monitor that's larger then the one that comes on the A7IV, I was thinking that the Ninja was overkill for this but I have no knowledge on what would work just as a larger monitor. I also don't know the output Resolution the HDMI connection from the A7IV so I figured since I've seen so many videos of the Atomos Ninja 5 I would just grab one. 😅

@@joseluisruiz3789 So you might be fine with just a monitor like this one: bhpho.to/3bYt7QM instead of the recorder. Plus the recorder usually has some fan noise and the monitor will not. The Ninja absolutely works as just a monitor as well but again, there will be some fan noise, it obviously costs more, and it's a bit heavier than a monitor only

I hope they put in the recording feature on Comica's UHF wireless. My area is so dense with 2.4ghz interference, it is a problem. Need a UHF system. Great video, and strong for the Comica product.

I have a doubt or couple of doubts rather as to whether the receivers transmitter have charge ports on them which can say use an external Power source from a motorcycle or Car charger port or battery banks to extend the Duration of recording and backup time to more than just 3 to 4 hours, or if the ports circuitry is not well shielded etc so will the charging cause power flow clicks trips pops buzzing disturbances sounds in the audios/videos? I've not seen any 360 camera or Safety Body Cams or wireless mics etc being used this way in any of the review or testing Videos so I would really like to know you or anyone else's inputs if it can work flawlessly and without interruption over prolonged duration probably like Say long trips to Crime or Evidence Sites or Courts Hearings! I need a Full Blown Minimal Number Devices Proper Setup as Most Things I'm Forced to Do/Done Alone as Local People Scared of the Criminals on My National and International Criminal Courts Cases and It's been Long Time Overdue for My Legal Judicial Press Public Record Disclosure Videos to be out and about informing educating and enlightening Not Just Indian But World Citizens wherein the Locations Descriptions Audios Videos Will be HIGHLY IMPORTANT so I CAN'T Have or Afford ANY Dropouts Trips or Loss of Audio/Video. 👿Attempts on my LIFE! Could You Please, If you Have the Time, Make a Video on How to Setup Use Backup Dual Audios recording safe levels, etc, not clear which of the mics if transmitters battery ends the audio still gets recorded on the receiver for longer duration?! Also, Severely Confused between going with a 360 with high capacity storage micro SD Card Battery replaceable or Battery Bank from Pocket or Bag or Vehicle Power Sockets Backup Power Source Route and/or DJI Gimbal types given in any high stress action of defense event it won't break easily or Stop recording and Stabilization Capabilities should be extremely good so it will serve the purpose for stuff that will be done on the move a LOT Courts Depts Land Sites etc Far From Each Other and will be on travel so factors of wind traffic noise in noisy and badly lit environments, so ANY and ALL Suggestions, Inputs with Solutions will Be highly appreciated! Software update on rode might get some more similar features like a "rec" button. I'm not sold

I can’t seem to find the comica sound Flies. They work but I’m a little confused 😐 on where do the sound files save on to ? I’m a noob. Do they save on the memory stick with the video files ?

question is how do these compare to the new upcoming DJI wireless mics! Dan, you gotta do a review on those! They have internal memory (14hrs of recording), better sound than the the rode's, a charging case, and better range.

@@learningcameras DJI is on a mission these days to disrupt the industry. Just based on pre-release reviews, it seems to check all the boxes with the least sacrifices.

@@learningcameras Seeing all those kind of mics, that made me think that I already have a DJI pocket 2 with creator combo with a wireless mic, I can use it as a mic even if I don't use the videotrack and this mini mic is perfect and sound very good enough for me.

Bro quick question I have a lav wireless mic yourself and I don’t know how to use it. Stood up all day trying yo figure out. where does the Audio file save I can’t seem to find the recording audio when I try to export it. I have everything on and I can hear the great audio feeding into the mics through my headphone jack. I press record on my mirrorless camera and I talk but when I try to look for when I export footage there no extra audio file ? 😢😅 KZread is no help at all.

Appreciate that! So the S5 is absolutely still grate as long as you don't need the best in AF performance. However the more limited lens lineup means that I tend to recommend cameras like the Sony A7IV a bit more

Hi, I have a macbook air with only thunderbolt and 3.5mm slot. Is there any reason why I can't choose the device (Comica) in sound "input" ? It doesn't seem to work on my computer in zoom. Can anyone help please ? Thanks!

Problem is how to access the files on the receiver. When I plug it in to my Windows 10 PC via USBC, the computer recognizes it as a mic but not a storage device. The user manual doesn't say anything about this, and neither do any of the reviews I've seen.

What are the benefits to have camera-mount shotgun mic with some lav mics? Do you have a better audio in your video?

It gives you more sources so flexibility in post. Sometimes camera mounted shotgun mics will sound better if your subject is close to the camera or can be used for ambiance in post

I bought some but when I connect the receiver to my Zoom H1n, the feedback is terrible.

Will it work on a camera without a mic input like the gx85?

It will need a mic input to record in the camera however, because it also records inside the unit itself, you could always sync the audio in post

@@HellaChluy It has internal memory...8GB so this would be an option for that. However, if your camera doesn't have a mic input at all and you have no need for the wireless ability, you can also get something like this: bhpho.to/3J0B7yV

The sound of BoomX-D PRO is clearer.

Wait, wireless go II can record internally too . You are comparing apples to apples. Both systems are the same. Maybe - the external audio monitoring .

@@learningcameras Got the impression that wireless go had none of features and the competitor had . Did not feel like a comparison to me.

I have two sets of the Rode Wireless Go units. When working with 4 talents in interviews, they seem to cancel one another out and cut in and out. When I contacted the dealer they stated that it is due to them fighting for the same frequency. Will I have that issue with this product?

Most likely...they all use the same tech. I even had a wireless go II next to the new DJI Mic and they were canceling each other out. You would need a system that can operate on multiple frequencies if you need more than 2 as of now I think
