That left hook by Morrison in the sixth round should have sent Razor Rudduck to the shadow realm. The fact that it didn't immediately showed how tough he was.

These two tops my list of exciting and great fighters....it's my go to to watch .
I don't know, but I think the Ref was premature calling the fight right at that moment. Fighters sometimes take some beatings, in a recovery mode. I don't think Donovan was really devastated at that moment. Struggling, yes, but that was a bad judgment on the Ref's part. It would have been worthy to be able to witness the next round, but it is true that Tommy was mostly dominating in the fight

@@rodneydukes7616But see, Round Six, the video doesn't show the Standing 8 Count totally, but the question really is, how did the Ref feel justified, calling it....Donovan didn't go down to the canvas in any way, he wasn't hanging on the ropes. Those are the prerequisites for a count, not just a boxer seeming to struggle. Only when a boxer is helpless, and then the fight made be judged that it is a TKO.

When a boxer resists to fall and also tends to rely on ropes to avoid falling, he may get badly injured from all these continuous punches. Referee was right to save him as he saw he had no strength to fight back but insisting to not fall.

@@perrymccallum8931there was a doc a few years ago that I saw that was just so sad, he was unrecognizable. The man died of his own ignorance and stupidity, and thought he could mind over matter his way out of the illness. He also was dead set on continuing to fight even knowing full well that he was testing positive at the time. I was a big fan of his growing up too, so it was a tough watch. The world really was his oyster for a little while.
Tommy recovered nicely from that knockdown, as he did against Carl Williams. It sorta makes you wonder if the Mercer fight would have turned out differently, had the ref not fallen asleep on the job. I know, I know... but he was on a hangover when he fought Bentt, and Lewis was just a hulk of a man, who reigned-in the "era of the giants" in the heavyweight division, wherein 6 foot 5 inch freaks of nature took over and still rule supreme.
How does anyone survive that,..amazing.

Tommy Morrison -all class!
TOMMY WAS A GREAT FIGHTER A VERY SAD ENDING TO HIS LIFE HE WILL ALLWAYS BE REMEMBERED
Top 👍
Ref must have gotten paid off, 2 standing knockdown counts, the first one was definitely bogus, 🤨
The duke one of the best left hook in boxing history!
TOMMY WAS REALLY FIRED UP FOR RAZOR AND NEVER GAVE UP REALLY AFTER RAZOR CAME ON EXTREMELY STRONG IN THE 6TH ROUND. RAZOR WAS VERY SURPRISED BY TOMMY’S POWER.
Great boxers 🤜 🤜🤜🤜👍👍
He was never the same to me after he lost to Ray Mercer.

bad stoppage by the ref....Morrison got lucky cause he was gassed & gonna get koed in the next rd or 2!
Once you get a concussion it stays with you forever!
Ruddock took a lot of hits in his day
#RIPTommyMorrison 🥊
Bad stoppage because everybody knows Ruddock reputation and because it was only 10 seconds left. I felt like he would have be alright the next round because it been back and forth shit going on the whole fight and he bounced back
Ravor was never the same after Tyson fights
The problem with Morisson is he lost stamina way too quick, and his defense was horrible, change those too things and the guy is the total package

Tommy was in some battles. I respect the ref caring about the fighters but calling two stand up knockdowns is weird
Bruh, that referee has got to be one of the worst I’ve ever seen in boxing. Counting knockdowns that never happened against Donovan literally cost him the fight. smh
Body punches hurt
Ruddock with his looney tunes KOs man, just needs a soundboard of slipping on banana peels
The GWH. ...Nope. The Ray Mercer fight closed the show.
