Them refs be like WWE refs, flirting with the ladies while a dude is all tied up in the ropes getting painted with a folding chair.

Watching this got me thinking: it's interesting to me how there's usually not too much backlash when a heavyweight gets KO'd, even if they were favored to win. I guess it's because most actual boxing fans realize that at that weight, with the amount of insane blunt force power getting slung around, any punch can turn anyone's lights out. Just an observation I've thought about a few times before. Love the video!

Brains float in a fluid. Nothing strengthens the brain or the fluid. It’s proportionately more possible to turn the lights out with as you say that greater bunt force. The power is somewhat diminished by much more neck strength and slower hand speed, but yeah on balance you are going to see many more knockouts in higher weights.

That last clip where the news reader criticises the ref for not stepping in sooner. You could also criticise the winner for lack of sportsmanship to his fellow pro.

The ref should have certainly interfered after the 1st 2 punches. The victim was not standing, he was hanging on the ropes.

@@wasntme7845 It tells me that you haven't either. Beating the shit out of somebody that's already out and only supported by the ropes while having a snooze from being hammered by the opponent is just sadistic. This is boxing, not MMA.
