Well, Morrison lasted just as long as Vitali Klitscho did with Lennox Lewis - 6 rounds - And Tommy was in the ring with the younger, and the fitter, and the more passionate and ambitious Lennox Lewis...Klitscho still got his face battered and that was against the oldest, and the most tired that Lewis had ever been in his career...Tommy Morrison did better than Razor Ruddock, Francis Botha, Tyrell Biggs, Michael Grant, Oliver McCall, Andrew Golota, Hashim Rachman, and Shannon Briggs all did, Tommy lasted longer with Lewis than they all did... And he beat Foreman, on points, over 12 rounds, the same as Holyfield did, the only difference is Holyfield is praised for beating such a big and powerful Foreman, a man that had never lost his power...yet Tommy's win over the same Foreman is seen more of a victory over an old washed-up fighter that should've retired years before.... Tyson was supposed to fight Morrison in the mid-to-late 90's... and has admitted that he chose what he thought, at the time, were the easier options.

Morrison WAS underrated. His aggressive style made for exciting fights. He had good technique and great power. His left hook probably falls somewhere between Cooney's and Tua's. He was a good looking cat and chicks dug him. His lack of discipline during his upbringing gave him a terrible sense of judgement. And he didn't take it as serious as he should. And paid for it. Ultimately, he paid the ultimate price. Morrison's fighting problems were gameplan discipline, conditioning and of course, the chin. The things that made Morrison great, were also what sealed his fate as a boxer.

Some fighters will always be remembered for their impeccable record at top level. Others for the excitement they bring to the ring. Tommy Morrison had this by the truck load. I mean, how many fighters elicit an “Oh shit!” response from the commentary? Tommy Morrison fights were edge of your seat stuff that could’ve gone either way, and for this he’s rightfully earned his place in boxing history. God bless you Tommy Morrison.

After that big knock down, Razor getting his head snapped back unprotected is going to get a count called by any decent ref. Since that was the third count in the round, it was over. I don't know why the one announcer was acting like that. The only questionable count was the second one, but I can see why he counted that one. It's easy to armchair quarterback, but basically Razor got way too careless and wild charging in, and got checked by Tommy.

Razor was in trouble every since that last knock down and the one way you can tell is when they are not doing nothing and just standing there taking hard punches and No they were not blocked. One of them almost took his head off.

When healthy before all that drama that took place he was one of the best. well conditioned fighter & I don't think any boxer wanted to be in the ring with him at that time. @Charles Martel Tommy's conditioning was absolutely his weakest attribute, next to his inability to lead with his jab and AIDs. But I give him credit. Most people don't know how exhausting a single round is, I'm not saying that about you I just mean in general. I remember once I realized I was flexing my traps for no reason during fights and sparing sessions. I broke the habit after shadowboxing for long periods of time and concentrating on my shoulders and relaxing everything when I flexed them. Just changing that alone gave me like 2 more energetic rounds. Boxers are obviously in shape, but it's mastering relaxing when you can that's the real trick. I forgot my point. I think he was doing drugs at this point, no? I'm not sure what exactly but those can play a huge part on destroying stamina. I guess I just mean to say that I agree with you, but I still give him credit. Keep the peace.

@@user-wh8mb7tm2g fight was 1995 - June 29, 1997 , Ruddock faces a Sept. 2 trial on charges he forcibly took back a $5,000 diamond ring he gave the mother of his 3-year-old son, Shaka. The child is the center of a custody battle. Those distractions loom larger than the 6-foot-4 boxer. He made millions fighting, but bankruptcy and failed investments have left him cash poor. A contract dispute ruined a close relationship with his beloved brother, Delroy. And now the bitter break-up of his four-year relationship with Alexandra Williams, a South Florida woman, has lead to a robbery charge that could land him in jail. Williams portrays a very different Ruddock. She told police he harassed her for months and then ripped the ring off her finger Dec. 1 when she went to the fighter’s house in suburban Plantation to pick up some of Shaka’s clothing. “He comes to my house, he vandalizes my property, he comes over without permission, he beats me up, or he has beaten me up,” she says. “It’s got to stop.” The two broke up in October 1995. Ruddock, born in Jamaica but raised in Toronto, has not boxed since June 1995 when he lost to Tommy Morrison.
