Great remembrance of the past.. i could remember when i was 8yrs old (1977) my appa took me there... to buy a half HP motor (already used for 7yrs) for his business which was made in the UK... you believe me.. that motor still working fine without any repair done all these years... Beautiful memories.. Thank you so much for making this video...the whole of the video 15 mins i was immersed in those awesome thoughts...God bless..

That golden days of moormarket is a history I came to chennai in1950 Countless time came to this M&M as you said we cannot get dad/mum here In my life I enjoyed this M. Market.

What a nostalgia! The immediate thing that comes to my mind when I was a school boy & for vacation I come to good old Madras was Moore Market and Marina beach These two places used to be the star tourist attraction in the seventies. When Moore Market got destroyed I literally cried.

I visited several times and bought many things especially books toys from here Christmas time it used to hectic sales and Anglo Indians used to come and you can get any rare books from here zoom also was here and within close proximity to central station and park had boat ride also many old timers remember this besides Morre market old market where other old products have been sold may be there could have stolen products might have been but may not be inside Moore market inner first round used to have mostly and only books have been and we bought comic books and literature and many books it was real good period then

There is a book called Karupar Nagaram by Karan Karki 🖤 that revolves around the story of working class people of Chennai in 70s. I came to know about the beautiful Lotus pond and old Moore Market through that book. This video reminded me of that book.
