I went here during August 2017. @10 am I saw few peoples goin for a walk. Didn't see a single shop except a iron shop at a corner. This is just after Adyar river from adyar Bridge. Nothing so engaging about this area except few tall buildings. You can see many peaceful and neat areas all over Chennai which gives us good vibes. Kolathur one way road, the road to velacherry (from Guindy Bridge there is a road leading to Phoenix road), Interior roads in OMR, Nanganallur interior roads(other than roads leading to the market). Alandhur to Velacherry (MRTS). Few streets in Mugapair, Padi and interior anna nagar. Interior roads from camp road to OMR.

Bangalore is a place to live, unlike chennai Bangaloreans are more matured and caring unlike chennai. Bangaloreans have faith in people coming from other cities and they welcome them, for example in bangalore alone we have close to 30 to 40 lakhs of tamilians living in bangalore plus another 1 or 2 lakhs of IT professionals from chennai are accomdated. Bangalore streets are world class, what's the point of having one area with 30 houses in chennai which has greenery, you want see what is greenery come to bangalore. Beach is the only good thing about chennai, unfortunately people cannot enjoy that beach for 8months because of humidity.another thing good about chennai is music, either carnatoc or cinema you have a variety and it keeps happening. Chennai water quality is pathetic. Chennai has very minimum stand alone restaurants and bistro bars, come to bangalore see the magic of ours & restaurants of world class. Comparatively bangalore is much superior to chennai. I have nothing against any one personal, but these are the facts.if I am living in chennai yes as o rightly said one should be careful about the head, unlike bangalore.

Radharavi once asked M.R.Radha why he didn't.buy house in this area. Radha sir replied "Nobody will come for our rescue in case of any emergency. from those bungalows So I bought in Teynampet.

We lived next to that street st. Mary's road. We go for walking regularly in boat Club. We can see lot of cine stars come for walking. Very calm area miss that place a lot.

something everyone can learn from this video is, we don't have to be rich to keep our residential area clean.

I adore this area and visit this area as and when I visit Chennai as my closest relative live here. Neat and calm with serene atmosphere. Everyone attends to their work and neighbours do not know each other. They meet only during crisis. All house needs to be brought from other place, except milk.

Nice video I liked watching it. Naturally, since we many are used with crowded place, obviously, it would have been slightly thrilled scary to walk around the neat, clean, spacious, crowd less ,uncongested and unpolluted area. Since you two have walked it would be easy, if in case if one walks alone it would be more scary as people from inside building for sure will look doubtfully and even might alert the security.

I used to spend my childhood days in Boat club area in late 70's crossing adyar river almost neck deep located just behind Boat club with all my friends in R.A Puram 6th Main road and 7th Main Road when we lived there. We also played cricket in some open grounds that were available freely in those days and spend much of our summer school holidays in Boat club watching the Boat Race held every Saturday, and Besant Nagar beach by walk or cycling. Nothing much has changed in the last 40 years. I still visit that area when ever I come to India on holidays. But guys, Madras has many more such posh areas in Kilpauk gardens, Nungambakkam, Adyar, Besant Nagar, Santhome, between Foreshore estate and Adyar River Mouth, Greenways Road etc. I suggest you guys to visit Theosophical Society next to Adyar Bridge. You will feel yourself in a different world.

A decent 3BR flat in the Adyar area is Rs.3C and above. I'm sure Chennai is one of the cities having extreme housing bubble risk. They are way too overvalued.

The truth is that the people who live there maintain the area like that. They don't litter in the road at all. Not even one waste plastic i have seen when I go via there. Also they make sure the greenery is maintained as well. Sometimes we have to credit them for making the place a looked upon standard, rather than unnecessary criticism.

While studying in College (2008), we went for a walking in this area with my Friends. We all are from different rural parts of TamilNadu. The area looked rich even at that time. But only now I know that it is the richest area in Chennai.
