BrewHardware.com's line of kettle whirlpool gadgets known as "Spin Cycles".
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
If you want to use a pump to whirlpool your wort, or stir you water in a HERMS hot liquor tank, you'll need a device in the kettle to direct your pump outflow around the circumference of the kettle. BrewHardware.com has been supplying such gadgets for several years under the product name "Spincycle". This video showcases the different types. Not shown in is the Spincycle Shorty which is meant to thread in to a welded coupling from the inside if you bought a kettle that already had such a situation. The newest addition to the SPINCYCLE product line is the OVERBOARD which is a no-drill solution since it clamps over the top of the kettle wall. It also makes the outflow height adjustable and you can use the device as a fermenter filler as well.

Another great video, thanks Bobby! BH yet again responding to needs of Homebrewing community; another reason why we love BH and are loyal, long time customers. I made one of theses from copper pipe to hang over kettle but will be ordering a stainless from you for new Anvil Foundry. Keep up the great work, and thanks again!
I have both the "shorty" and "overboard". Both are great products! The overboard I use to recirculate the mash.
on my list of things i need for my anvil foundry.
Just ordered one. Thanks bobby.
Awesome beard dude! Rock on! I got one of these awesome spin cycle attachments too!
I like to take my temps down to below 50 when whirlpooling with my version of the overboard, but in this method you have the boiler exposed to the air. I had a wooden lid made up to counter this.
I tried to order one. Do you know when you will be back in stock?
Is there an optimal height from the bottom of the kettle?

We have found it doesn't matter much. We get the same centrifugal movement as long as we keep the outlet more than an inch from the bottom or top of the liquid column.
Does it matter which direction your whirlpool spins?

No, not really.
