The new one has no scale in it so will be faster plus you had hardly any water in the old one. Throwing away a perfectly good boiler is not great. Freecycle what you don't want and let others make use of them.

Love my Breville one cup but inside the handle got all black and mouldy. Tried to take it to bits to get to inside the handle but had to bend bits because couldn't undo screws so have to throw it away with all parts working but all messed up. Going to buy a new one now. I have had a trouble free nearly six years use from this one and would recommend it. The water comes out very hot and it is just right for making good thick gravy. By the way the water that you use does outcome from inside the handle, I found this out whilst dismantling it too late for me but probably not for you.

i go one put a cup under with tea bag in it filled up up and then the tray so i had to take o full up to sink with boll under it and put some down the sink it wont do one up just a mug and you cant stop it keep you old one i took my one back but my old one is tatty ?

Can we set the temperature on these, I don’t necessarily want hot boiling water every time ? Can anyone answer please?

Ive got two of the variable cup models both gone wrong and trie to contact Breville by email but no reply, never touch Breville stuff again.

I've got both, are no louder than a regular kettle boiling.

Im happy with my 4 litre Westinghouse hot water dispenser its doing a good job.

Great idea but the water is only lukewarm

Bought this expensive "one cup kettle" about 2 years ago. I was immediately struck how badly designed the filler is - but i stuck with it. Now it doesn't fully boil a 300ml measure - it boils & dispenses about 100ml - then coughs and splutters and goes straight into another boil / dispense cycle uncommanded. I've tried descaling 3 times following the instructions to the letter. I'm a retired mechanical engineer - the concept is fine - this product is, at best, poor.

Had the one on the left side. Bought at B&M and could not listen that horrible noise while filling up cup. Sold it after few days

Just bought new design . Its crap. Water not at boiling temp like normal kettle. I like hot drinks. As you say its very noisy. Will be taking it back.

Why would you throw a usable electric item in the bin ? Many other people could use it. Even broken it should not go in the bin. It should go to the recycle centre where electric components are reused or disposed of safely.

Just got the new one water poured out the handle going back to the shop not good

I only get half a mug of water out?

Bloody hell compared to my dispencer they take as long as good kettle

Don't know why you bought the new one when there's nothing wrong with the old one

we also have the other, it could adjust the temperature from 25C to 100C, and dispense volume also adjust too, the inside 2.0L tank could be removed easily, instagram.com/tv/B9fl3gRDRGB/?

It's a waste of money, it boils all the water in the tank just to use a small amount still, buy a proper dispense that only boils what it uses

It only boils a cup of water in the heating chamber and draws water in using the vacuum created by the hot water.

its not a 100 degrees hot water?

Ivev got one I had to send back because a bit of share metal feel in my wife's cup and cutting her throat do not buy this crap
