I have bought one today from Asda ... on sale £27 down from £44 . I absolutely love it . Very quick. Don't have to lift kettle up to pour no more and seems a lot safer

+unions100 glad you like it., we love ours.
The missus uses a Mrs Bucket (Bouquet) type cup and saucer and I use a mug so interesting to see that it can't be stopped once dispensing - I shall no doubt be manning up for a trip to Mount Vernons Hosp while brewing up for her. Good review, I'm in - looks like a good bit of kit

Thanks for the kind words and wish both you and your wife the very best of health and happiness.
great review. Is this the sort of kettle that would be useful for someone who is visually impaired?
Can’t believe you put the milk in first,
hi, i have this kettle too. it's great. wish the amount of hot water was variable which the next model up is but about £30-£40 more. Tip, I use a small jug if I want to use my china cups for tea, works well. great review👍

Yasmin, Thanks for your kind words. Its been over a year since we bought ours and we have had no issues :) Great purchase :)
Hi found this product on Amazon here in Australia. It says international version. Import from UK. Can you confirm if yours is 220 to 240 volts? Totally blind and think this would work well. Would be great for elderly too reducing lifting of the unit somewhat.
Got one of these and their just right for making a single mug of tea/coffee, having said that we also have a kettle in case of visitors where 3 or 4 cups/mugs maybe needed..but yes worth the money.

Legend. Thanks for the awesome feedback. Much appreciated. Cheers
You can stop it once it starts switch it off at the wall once you get to the level you want
Luckily my conventional kettle allows one cup boiling which takes 45 secs pre cup. Not much longer than 42 secs. I enjoyed this video though.
does the water boil in plastic or stainless steel?
Thanks for the review, brought one off this review

It only takes 25 seconds for my one I purchased and it's the exact same.
I want boiling water not luke warm. By time you put milk in at 80 degrees would be bit cold. Great review thanks for doing the temp check least now I know what not to buy.

It does that so it's ready to drink straight away. Where as when it's boiling you will be blowing it for 10 minutes
Great video thanks job done

It's terrible. You have to Bootle it again and again to make more than one cuppa? Why isn't there a dispenser button?? It's not useful at all.
Was going to bid on one of these on ebay but decided against it. I know I'd flick the switch, put in the coffee and milk, then walk away doing something else, and come back with cup-in-hand to see the water pouring out into the drip tray. Bad design, they should really have a separate button for filling, and a stop button. I think they'll lose a lot of sales over it.

It only releases one cup of water at a time, it will only spill out when you forget the mug. Which I have done...... Doh

The new models have a stop function that cuts off water and diverts back to the tank.

My sister bought me the older version- it doesn't say on the box or in the manual that the water comes out automatically & you need to make sure there's a decent size mug under it- I very nearly burnt myself. I intend to contact Breville about this. No boiling water should pour out of anywhere automatically
A coffee machine only makes o at a time
Bought this expensive "one cup kettle" about 2 years ago. I was immediately struck how badly designed the filler is - but i stuck with it. Now it doesn't fully boil a 300ml measure - it boils & dispenses about 100ml - then coughs and splutters and goes straight into another boil / dispense cycle uncommanded. I've tried descaling 3 times following the instructions to the letter. I'm a retired mechanical engineer - the concept is fine - this product is, at best, poor. Stay clear.
Who puts milk in first?

Into coffee... A lot of people. The ideal temperature for coffee is in the low 90°s, so if you're using a kettle with water at 100°C then putting the milk in first ensures the temperature isn't too hot.

milk in first for coffee means less milk needed to make it a good colour (dont stir till after waters poured in then stir), but if u do it after it takes more milk to get the same colour, strange but true, from a coffee drinker (instant)
horrendous noise
Im on my third one of these, if I hadn't got the third one for nothing I wouldn't bother, impossible to get parts or repairs, customer service abysmal, don't buy they don't last.
