Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video, Dr. Jon Saunders will show his 12 best shoulder exercises and stretches to help fix shoulder pain. Shoulder pain can be from tendonitis, bursitis, impingement syndrome, rotator cuff tear, or tendinosis and is often frustrating as it can take a long time to heal for a variety of reasons, which are discussed in this video.
This shoulder rehab routine should be done 4-5 times per week to be effective. Choosing the best shoulder exercises and stretches for your case is also discussed. This shoulder rehab routine is to be done at home with no special equipment needed.
Start with the stretching portion, then move onto the mobility portion, and then to the strengthening portion.
If you have any questions about these shoulder exercises or stretches, please ask in the comment section.

    Really good instruction, well-explained and thorough set of great exercises for the shoulder. I've got "tech neck", "mouse shoulder", bicep pain and cervical radiculopathy. This routine is one of my go-to videos for so that I can still go strong at age 65 without medication. Thank you, Dr. Jon!

    Dearest Doc, so many thanks from Caracas ! I was working on some of your neck stretches, I have cervical problems, a deviated septum that cause dizziness and clogging of my eustachian tube and tear-duct on one side and THEY ARE REALLY HELPING A LOT ! I am also doing Chi-Kung, but these all are wonderful complements ! Since I have been waking at night with pain in my shoulder joint I just started doing these and they feel very promising. At 67 and after 45 of those riding motorcycles, age takes it's toll. BLESS YOU, I am definitely subscribed to you and will continue working on all the great stretches....

    Thank you! These seem to be helping me. I have nagging slight shoulder/bicep discomfort - like a tendon tweak/pinch when I twist the arm outward at the elbow or pull the shoulder back…and I don’t want it to get worse. I’m resting my arm, but using your recommendations to make sure I still have movement and gentle movement while I wait! I’ve found it easy to understand where my limits are, and I do feel the strength work making a difference. Slow going though! I will never take my shoulders for granted again! 😊

    How often do you do these? Once in the morning, once in the evening, cycle through the whole list? If you have neck issues do you also do all of the neck stretches at the same time? I feel like I need to spend an hour a day stretching in order to get everything back to where I want it to be. Does that sound right?

  • @drjonsaunders

    @drjonsaunders

    For awhile I had intense pain in my shoulders and down my arms that, bizarrely enough, totally went away after I was in a car accident where I got my head slammed into the dashboard. I was getting x-rayed after the accident so I figured I may as well ask about my shoulder pain. Turns out I had extra cervical ribs (both sides) that may have been pressing on a nerve. Like I said, I haven’t had a problem since then but I’m always kinda concerned the pain will come back. If I recall correctly, I was just told to avoid sleep positions or work that would have my arms above my head for extended periods.
