    Hi Jon, sleeping on my back with no pillow just a thin towel roll under my neck has been a great help for relief from the bone spurs in my neck, also a fairly flat pillow under the towel roll. I had two cushions under my knees and pillows at each side for my arms. I’ve had four night in a row now without the nerve pain going down my arms. Thank you, you are doing great work with these videos and they are very appreciated!😊

    I had a bad experience with this orthopedic pillow. The problem was that you need to sleep on the thin side during sleep on the back and for sleeping on the side you need the thick side of pillow. And I sleep in different position during the night. When I was using this pillow for a years, instead fof feel refreshed I woke up with neck pain very often. And didn't understand why because all chiropractors recommends it for good health as you. When I tried to common thin pillow its feels so much better for spine and neck. I don't have so much headache anymore neither neck pain. So I think this pillow is too high for normal position and oposite put your head up as well like a thick pillow. Roll pillow seems better.

    It definitely takes some experimenting with the principles I discuss in the video, thanks for your comments.

    I feel relief in my neck, if I lay down on the side and the affected side of my neck (left) is up. However, I cannot find position for my left arm, in which it would not hurt. The pain in the arm eventually becomes so bad, I have to give up and lay on my back again. But I can´t fall asleep laying on my back, so I have been sleeping really badly lately.

    I suffer from vertigo. How do I do neck stretches that will relieve my neck pain, but NOT trigger my vertigo? When lying on my back, I cannot lift my head up due to neck pain. A week ago, I woke up just fine and as the day progressed, my neck became painful and stiff. I don’t know why and after a week, it has not gotten any better. Please share a video that addresses this need. Thank you!

    That is a very tough question, as it will depend on what positions trigger your vertigo/dizziness and then choosing the right exercises for your condition. It may be best to get some professional help for your particular case. Best wishes.

    Hard to say, but it likely depends which nerves are irritated and what is causing them to be inflamed. If you found relief in that position best to keep at it...all the best!

    Hlw dr you have replied on my previous comment about Loss of cervical lordosis and about those creepy sounds coming from neck . But I want to know one more thing. I am doing exercises to get my curve back again. So I want to know if my curve gets back again will those sounds be gone ? And how much time it can take to restore the curve again?? What is your thought about it ? Just wanted to get an idea about time .

  • @drjonsaunders

    @drjonsaunders

    Ай бұрын

    The length of time depends on severity, if there is any degeneration, etc...also to restore curve to the fullest extent possible you need to do traction and get mirror image adjustments from a corrective chiropractor. The sounds can improve in some cases when alignment improves. Best wishes.

    Thankyou very much.Great information. I do have a question,if I sleep on my back and side,do I need to rotate the pillow all the time? Or do I pay attention to how often a favour the back compared to side and then apply your suggestion?

    That is a great question - it can work both ways - I personally have trained myself into a habit of flipping the pillow when I change positions.

    Hello doc, plss i beg don't ignore this msg.. I'm in great depression due to my neck condition it has been started from lockdown and now it's been 4 years.. I got a pinched nerve in neck initially the pain and everything was in neck but now there's only burning sensation in neck but every tingling, numbness and weakness in my hand even to my small finger.. I'm only 18 year old and took an x ray scan and the doc told there's no problem but i didnt take mri.. My vit D, B levels are also good.. I'm hopeless sir could u pls tell me how to get rid of it.. I have seen your videos about pinched nerve stretches with our hand but when i do it i get a shooting pain throughout the hand and the source region(neck)when i stretch my hands so should i continue doing it although i feel pain anyway i feel relieved after doing those stretches so it's better to continue right??.. Lockdown days i used to watch phone in a bad posture that caused me this chronic condition.. And it's not going away.. I get intermittent weakness tingling every day especially when i hold even small objects like phone.. I sleep on my stomach but wake up with no problem but when i sleep on side i woke up with numb hands same in back sleeping as i unconsciously shift my position and put hand in a stressed position.. Is stomach sleeping so bad although it isn't causing me any problem in the morning.. My neck is kinda stretched when i stomach sleep but have no pain in morning.. When this condition started my neck makes cracking sounds while stretching it was unusual for me before.. I am doing pushups to strengthen the area.. Anyother exercise or videos or anything to suggest doc(I am correcting my posture) I'm desperate this is affecting my daily life😭.. Is this permanent and is surgery the only resort? Because internet says like that as my condition is for 4years. Pls help
