Ойын-сауық

Back pain is a common affliction exacerbated by our modern and sedentary lifestyles. This discomfort frequently hinders work and daily activities. Our guest today delves into the back's anatomy, identifying movements-or lack thereof-that contribute to pain and discussing factors contributing to its increasing prevalence.
Today, on The Dhru Purohit Show, Dhru and Dr. Stuart McGill delve deep into back pain. Dr. McGill shares insights into why back pain is so prevalent, dispels myths surrounding it, and discusses the types of repetitive stress and strain that can lead to chronic pain. He also outlines his approach to treating back pain and highlights the limitations clinicians face in treating their patients.
Dr. Stuart McGill is a distinguished professor emeritus at the University of Waterloo and the chief scientific officer at Backfitpro Inc. McGill has written more than 300 scientific publications on the topics of lumbar function, low back injury mechanisms, investigation of tissue loading during rehabilitation programs, and the formulation of work-related injury avoidance strategies. He has received several awards for his work, including the Volvo Bioengineering Award for Low Back Pain Research from Sweden.

My chronic back pain/ degenerative disc disease at the age of 25 was due to my diet, no exercise could make it better. Once I changed my diet to low carb animal based my back pain went away

Prevention is better than cure. Hip replacement is common in the West because they don’t squat to do work like cooking, cleaning floors, washing clothes and making bread as in our Babylonian culture and Eastern toilets we squat. My present to my Western friends men and women is teach them to squat . It was difficult but then they learned and can do it. I am amazed at such good great professor to miss the point of other traditional cultures squatting, stretching yoga , Pilates. We are what we move and we are how we sleep, how be natural, and what eat ate and community talking to other human . I

What rubbish! The Easter hip socket i a lot diffrent than the Eastern hipsocket. The nr one reason for hip replecment i women over 50 In eroupa is yoga. There is a reason why Young comes from the east and not Scotland . Its all about the anatomi og the hip socket. Where do you find the highway consentraction of hip displecia. Eastern countrys and around Polen.

LMAO ! I cracked up when Dr McGill said “ Splitting your firewood or whatever you boys in LA do “ , then he laughed. I can’t imagine city boys splitting wood all day 🤣. It was cute. I’m sure those LA boys live at the gym tho . I’m more likely to hurt my back lifting wood for work or gardening. I miss my gardening. Can’t do it without hurting myself now . 💔. Not yet anyway. I’m hoping I can once I get rehabbed with his exercises. Thank you so much for this 🤗

Fasting, no alcohol, no smoking, no laziness. All elderly learners helplessness. Rich in Arab gulf consider movement is taboo but servants home careers are healthier than their unhealthy bosses. These simple workers continue to eat their traditional foods and don’t eat the poison called foods in Middle East where obesity and diabetes type 2 is the the worst even worse than USA . Damage health and education of a nation you damage that country and control it to steel its natural resources.😊

Great info. Bugs me when podcasters put their guests on the spot and ask them personal health advice. The guest handled that extremely diplomatically and the host didn’t get it and pushed. It’s inappropriate for your guest.

Tarlov cysts last resort is surgery and the big three especially the bird dog is not for everyone, his recommendations are over the tipping point possibly undoing anything restorative for many. Dr. McGill and daughter have had hip replacements. They may have not taken their own advice. His book is dangerously simple with sweeping generalizations as is common these days. His mention of the cysts underlines a basic misunderstanding. These people are not generous and any favor done for them is minimally acknowledged. You do not surgically cut out Tarlov cysts without huge irreversible consequences.

I love McGill but this is the most discombobulated monologue ever. How can someone talk about everything and yet talk about nothing at the same time
