BEGINNER PILATES - How to get better results from your Pilates workouts

A huge welcome to all the new subscribers to this channel!! To celebrate you all I thought I would share some pilates basics + my best tips on how to get started. The great thing about pilates is it is super easy to get started and follow along to a home workout. BUT if you want to get the most out of each pilates class and avoid injury, you need to understand the basics of pilates technique and method. This video gives you some really helpful tips about how to get started. Even if you are an OG pilates girl, there are always ways to improve your form and mind-body connection (I am still learning and improving after many years) so you will definitely benefit from this video too!

Hi Bailey, I have to say that since I discovered your channel over a month ago, I started to enjoy working out for the very first time in my life, and literally can't wait to try all of your amazing workouts!! This comes at the perfect time! I’ve just overcome COVID and can’t go to the gym yet so I decided to do some Pilates in order to still move my body
This is such perfect timing, thank you! I was sick the last three weeks and it was good to break me from the daily PUSH to lift weights. I get back into exercise the last week I’ve done Pilates and walking and absolutely love it!

Hi Bailey, your workouts have really helped me stay motivated and energized. Thank you so much! I find it a bit difficult with the booty bands as they tend to roll up on my thighs and feel quite stiff. Maybe the quality is not so good. What brand du you get your booty bands from or recommend? Btw, so excited to get my hands on some Bala Bangles!
I think pilates is my favorite kind of move. 🥰

Hello, I found your channel. I searched your site and found many programs and classes, but I did not know how to start. My goal is to be able to use ankle weights… Man I have a long way to go… I knew my core was weak after 2 babies and a c section. But sheesh!!! The classes I attended kick my booty but in a great way!

When inhaling do you release the tucked tailbone and belly button sucked in?

Yes inhale is more lengthening and exhale is more contracting usually 💗💗
