thank you I talked to her yesterday. so did David. she started crying. That child has been through so much. I really feel bad for her. parents don't stop to think about what they ae putting their children through when they split up. she has been back and forth. its so hard on them. We are close with Sadie, but her and David are extra close. he misses her and she really misses him. he has always played games with her. they have always did a lot of things. David has really been so good to Sadie.

This is probably bad to admit, but my older kids were born in the 70s, and we were staying with a friend. My oldest was about15, and one of her kids came in saying he had said a cuss word. I told him that with everything going on in the world, if a few cuss words was all I had to worry about before they were grown, I'd be tickled to death. Now they are grown, and they have grown up to become well adjusted.

Oh my gosh! Sadie has grown up so much! I have osteoporosis and fibromyalgia, and, having a really rough morning. This video has brightened my day. Thanks Brenda, David and Sadie!

I found that using corn starch in pudding works better to thicken then flower.

If you have an egg slicer, that's a fun way to cut the bananas. Cut them in 2" pieces first (or whatever fits)--kids love it!

If I cook a custard like this, I like to do it in the microwave. I prefer cornstarch to flour. Whisk together the sugar, cornstarch and salt (and cocoa for chocolate) in a glass batter bowl. Add the egg and milk and whisk well. Cook on Hi in 2 minute increments, whisking well between each, until the pudding thickens (about 6 minutes total). Once it's thick, stir in butter and vanilla and any other add-ins. This sure beats standing over a stove stirring for 35 minutes (that's how long you cooked yours).

Brenda, I hope your mom is doing better. I showed my Grandkids how your late Daddy buttered that cornbread she made. He said " keeps it moist that way". So, my Grandkids learned from your mom and Dad. They love my country cooking and you help carry on the tradition.

Brenda,I just saw the apple crisp video and you announcing burying your dad and I wanted to say my heart goes out to you. I am a pastry chef and Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons wear me plum out as you can imagine. It takes me a good month to just get caught back up on sleep and to get back on a somewhat regular schedule again. That is why i am playing catch up on my KZread channels i am subscribed to and see the things they have been doing and cooking and i knew your dad had cancer and when you mentioned you buried him and that he passed the day before Thanksgiving,my heart just sunk. I am so very sorry for your loss and know that there is nothing no one can say or do to comfort you in your grief and the pain of losing a parent,but just know he is no longer suffering and you will be with him again in the after life. It's the little things we all take for granted until we lose them but at least you have a loving husband who thinks you have hung the moon and you feel the same about him that you both can lean on each other in times like this. God bless you in this time of sorrow and know that there are lots of us fans who love you and your family to pieces and will do anything for you.

I make banana pudding all the time. I love the stuff. I have it made 2 different ways on here. I use banana pudding mix. if I make it homemade I use banana flavoring. if you have never tried it this way, then you should. I bet you will never go back to vanilla or french vanilla. my mom has always made it with vanilla. I am going to make it for her and see what she thinks
