We always used tea towels to put the milk through to get impurities out. After the milk gets cold the cream rises to the top. Get enough cream and you can churn butter. I'm drooling over that bread pudding, or cold bread pudding' as we called it with both cinnamon and nutmeg. Also custard pies. You've took me back to my paternal Granny's kitchen. Thank you so much!

Someone sent me a starter payment toward it. We have our channel manatized now. I am trying to let it build. Well I hope that We hae it right. I see money showing up on here. So they will send it out to us soon. We are getting David an editing program. Then I will put it toward the new stove. Then I will try to get it next. Times are hard for everyone, and I understand that. The money is building still yet. We sure do appreciate people supporting us. It means a let to us. Can't wait! lol he is my king now. well, I will let him think that he is for a while. we have picked it out and he has checked it out. now I told him to let them deliver it. but he wants to go get it. we are only a couple miles away from where we are getting it. I am so excited., it matches my fridge. my fridge is stainless the stove is stainless and black and the microwave is black. I am happy with it. I guess sometimes it takes gegging one piece at a time.

David. Please get Brenda a new stove with convection oven😀she will love it😀😀

this works very good. it is rusted out down under the eyes. so it is making the eyes unlevel. we cannot find parts for it. I dont think that this part can be replaced. I wish it could because it does work very well. its a shame

I've got one of those bowl cuddle things and I love it.

Just subscribed. Both my Grandmother and Mom made bread pudding usually during the winter months. My Dad always for some reason ate his with alittle milk poured on it in a cereal type bowl. I myself didn't like it, but bread pudding made this way I am definely going to try bet I would like this one. I too need a new stove the only way I can lite the two burners that works on it is with a match. But, on a fixed monthly income I have a list of things I need money for right now!!

You tell him. The old stove is out. Don't let him tell you no anymore. Your life would so much easer with a stove that works right.

My mom was pulled from school when she was 11 to work at home. She was an avid reader and she was the person I went to during college when I needed an opinion. Please don’t think you just have practical sense. You have a quick mind, intelligence and you have wisdom. Also, you cooked your stove to death. You’ve taken care of your family many a year with it. Now it’s time to snap the dish towel at hubby as he takes Bessy to the stove grave yard. 😊. Could you please share your vanilla sauce recipe. My mom and grandma made apple dumplings with a cream sauce and I only guess at the recipe. I miss that and her rice pudding recipe. I love your recipes. 🌸

Mom was a great cook like you, knowing what tasted good put together,& how t0 use what she already had. I miss her b a d. She made a similar dish, but used slices Sunbeam light bread. Husband and I went to Home Depot Bought an electric glass top Samsung on sale from $800.00 for $500.00. I love it. So easy to keep clean. It has all the bells and whistles. Watch for sales at HD. Women who cook and bake need a good stove David. I got a feeling this will be your year

These people did the sale thing at Home Depot, I keep looking at the Gas Frigidaire stove (they do make electric also) the stove has an air fryer in it so you don’t need another appliance in the kitchen. Anyway they put that Frigidaire display stove on sale in October or November. I didn’t see any of the display stoves at my Home Depot on sale last time I went. Brenda you could just call the stores and see if they are running any sales on the kind of stove you want and go from there. Good Luck😊😁

I am going t go there. I love the garden center and flooring, everything to remodel. We are going to finish our master bed and bath. its halfway there. Sadies dad was helping and he broke his let in 3 places. I hope that he will be all healed up real soon

I like to make bread pudding out of left over home made biscuits. It's so good

Haha no straining the cows milk does NOT take the cream out it's to clean the milk from the cows hair or other dirty flakes off the cows udder, to separate cream from milk you let the whole milk stand and the heavy cream rises to the top then you can skim it off . I'm a old retired dairy farmer .

A man who provides a woman with the right tools, reaps the rewards - new stove - lots more cooking - win-win David.

Brenda my grandma used to beat the egg whites and fold them in separately. And she used cherries and cinnamon. And David I went to home depot online picked out my stove called my local home depot ordered it. It was delivered and installed and I never stepped foot in the store.

I was wondering if you had forgotten to add cinnamon!! You could have mixed cinnamon & sugar and sprinkled it on top, that would have worked, also. Pouring the fresh cows milk through a cheese clothe doubled is to strain out the hair and other dirt that gets into milk from milking I know this because I grew up on a large dairy farm n Wisconsin .

I don’t remember my great grandmother and great grandfather but i do know my great grandmother was a full blooded Cherokee Indian yet i take after my grandfather for his side of the family. The Irish side.

I grew up on a dairy farm in Wis. too in the 1940s and we sold milk and the cans and big strainer had to be very clean then pour the milk into the big cans through special straining pads you bought from the dairy that bought the milk , we always uses fresh milk , I hate milk fresh or store bought it all tastes like a cows breath .

Almost! I went to walmart today, adn when I cam back he had rigged this stove up. he ask me if I seen it and I said yes and i hope that you will enjoy using it. it is still not level. its hard to cook with out scorching my food. I gave him the stove. Im getting a new one. I picked one out, but we are going to look at them tomorrow. We have ate carry out for the last 4 meals. he will give in pretty soon or get tired of heating up chille beand from a can or spegetti oooos

the lemon sauce that I made with brown sugar was the bomb. maw used white sugar, but the brown ws so good. I will make it this way again. when you take a bit of it, it just reminded me of something in a rich restraunt where they give a small piece and dribble a little sauce over the top. I hope you will try it

David is always talking about ants, so one day I seen it at goodwill and it waas brand new. So I got it and took it home and washed it. I like the yellow. I am going to look for an orange and maybe a purple and green, and blue. I have a lot of red ones. I love them all though.
