Summary (to save myself time when I undoubtedly return to this):

35mm isn't really exciting to me either for street photography, low end for me is 24mm but usually 50, 55 60mm. The high end 85mm to 120 tops. 35mm just isn't wide enough for groups and blows head shots out of proportion. I like 24mm better for landscape. I can't believe that heavy monster Sigma designed for 35mm weighs as much as a Nikon 24-70mm 2.8...ridiculous!!

when can you make ancient Nikkor q lenses? ive got 2 of them hacked and converted, great on D3, made my d3100 saturate colors almost like a d3 too. lots of them cheap, just dunno which are the good ones

Please excuse myself since I'm new to photography and I've enjoyed watching your videos. Could you give insights as to why you prefer the 135mm 2.8 over the 85mm ais? You even said the newer 85mm is optically superior but why is the Ais your favorite?

Based on few videos i watched, i understood that if we have a Nikon AI or AIS lens mounted via a speedbooster (like Viltrox NF-M43X) to the Panasonic GH5, we will be able to read the aperture change in the viewfinder. Can you confirm this? Thanks for your help!!!

I bought a 50mm AI f/2 on Ebay and can't seem to get it to work with my D300 or D500. I don't know why but the aperture won't work on the camera at all. I'm not sure if you've had any of the same issues. Lens aperture set to f/16

Hi ken i have a question regarding macro. I have a dinkie lol d3400. I do eventually plan on upgrading to a better body eventually but not any time soon as i feel the 3400 fills all of my current needs. My question is what macro lens in the 400 dollar price range should i get? I do some general landscapes and portraits with the 18-55 and 70_300 kit lenses but im very passionate about macro photography. I did insect shots with my cellphone and a clip on lens with all things considered good results for years but i want to upgrade so i can do macro with my actual dslr. Would the tokina f2.8 work out on my body? I shoot in all manual mode and also have no problems with manual focus if that lens won't af on my body. Thank you for all the great content, you are always my go to for camera info.

I want to thank you for recommending the Tokina 100mm, I would have never considered this lens otherwise and now it is my favorite lens. It is magical! No other lens I own gives me the color rendition or the WOW factor that this lens does. As you said... it IS the tits! Thank you so much! You are a bit unorthadox, but you know your shit man.
