Thanks for the video. Good information .
Yep, that was a very quick open. Part of pick resistance is making the lock confusing. Using all the same stuff doesn’t cause much confusion 😆

Many manufacturers usually throw a spool in the 2nd and 4th or 1st and 2nd positions only. This was a response to newer pickers asking if this would make a lock challenging. With security pins, less is more in most cases lol

@@LockandKilo haha copy that. I’m looking at doorknobs people are getting rid of for cheap on Facebook and some rekeying kits to play around and experience the security pins more for myself. Loving the videos!
you can rake anything with luck . i have opened up some locks to find 5 spools before but its not common

Yeah, this was mainly responding to some who asked from my first video that if they put 5 spools in their own locks would it make a difference. Out in the elements picking basic locks can be a challenge based on the circumstances, I just wanted to show some ways for Locksmiths to not have to suffer on these lol

@@unlockeduk Yeah, on the Trade side of things, time is money... so raking is favored. Clients are equally impressed by SPP, Raking, Credit Card, Bypasses all the same as long as you do not destroy their locks haha

@@LockandKilo i imagine so
Don't most Defiant locks use Kwikset keyways?

Yeah, they use the KW1 Keyway.

@@LockandKilo yeah most of the time but I have a Defiant with a Schlage SC1 keyway

@@lockhak33 I used to mess around with some Schlage's and throw KW1 cores in them just to anger my co-workers. It's pretty much a sin in a Lock Shop to do that and vice versa... but, I found it hilarious.
