    Hi Victoria! I am LOVING your channel and content. I've been in healthcare/hospital working in finance for about 10 years, I'm so glad to have been introduced to medical coding. I just finished up my diploma program and now studying for my CPC exam. I'm a nervous wreck!!!! Thank you for your amazing content and help through all of this. Funny know what I'd do without you.

    The first one is so true. I landed my first job since being certified in home health earlier this year and I’ve been involved in the coding, but only just recently started to code myself. PDGM was learning a different world lol. We outsource as well and I’m the only coder in the office so I’m using all the free resources I can find and google, and just asking one of our coders questions. I’m so paranoid about details😭 I think as coders were naturally so keen on details it’s a catastrophe when we make a mistake, but it is what it is.

    Stumbled on your channel looking for CDI/query tips - Not sure I've ever seen such solid information about what to expect/how to get into the field. I started off specializing in ophthalmology, then cardiology and then vascular interventional radiology, to where I am now, a Senior DRG Coder trying for my CCDS. While I won't be testing for any more coding certifications soon (imo, I wouldn't mind if I never saw another CPT4 again) I know there are always people intrigued when I tell them I'm a medical coder. I'll be sure to send them to your channel when asked in the future. There definitely is an air of nostalgia hearing such a well put synopsis on how to get and what to expect in the field. Cheers.

    Do you have a channel on KZread Jacob? Your background sounds interesting and I am sure you have advice and tips to those of us just beginning 😉 I am about to take my 2nd attempt at the CPC exam through AAPC. I took it last year before the change in E/M and the change in the time for the exam and number of questions. I am scared to death of taking my exam again. But I have been working hard and graduated in 2020 with an AAS degree in MOA and certification in Medical Codinf and Billing. I am ready for my new career to begin in this field and reaching out and learning from others who have succeeded in this field seems smart! Thanks!

    I thank the good Lord that I'm already a medical assistant and working in the healthcare industry. The job I work in now I use CPT and ICD 10 codes all day. I am very hopefully (a little confident) this will help me land my first coding job. CIRCC is the specialty I'm heading for. The salary is great once you are a IVR coder (thank you for that Victoria. If it wasn't for you I would have given up on cardiology once I got pass that chapter, it kicked my butt!) Not a lot of competition because it's such a intensive specialty, which should also work in my favor. I'm very thankful for this channel.

    Fabulous video Victoria! I just completed my first year as a coder in the field, and I have definitely hit all of these points. Thank you so much for giving us permission to feel frustrated every so often. I have definitely had such a bad day that I felt like “giving up“. You just can’t do that to yourself. I totally agree with giving yourself a time limit on feeling that way and deciding to start fresh the next day. It’s going to happen, and this coping strategy will work. FYI - I got my job through one of your tips on finding medical coding jobs. I went to the hospital‘s website and searched jobs under the CPC certification. This is a great tip and it definitely help me find my dream job! Thank you for all your hard work, research, and dedication that you put into your videos. Your channel is one of my trusted research sources. I’m so glad that I discovered your channel while I was still in school, because all of the help I found on your channel really helped me to reach my goal of graduating and getting my degree. I recommend your channel to other coders as well. Thank you Victoria! Blessed be. ✨✨✨

  • @ContempoCoding

    @ContempoCoding

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hi Kari -- I've coded a lot of wound care on the professional side and never included the anesthesia or supplies because I only focused on the provider services. If you're billing for the person who provided the anesthesia or for the facility services, that's when you would include anesthesia or supplies. If you're coding for what was just provided by the wound care provider alone, then it would just be the wound care procedures.
