You have to remember Hester Sue, she worked mostly in the blind school with Mary and Adam. Remember the episode when the blind school burned and Mrs Garver was stuck in there with Mary's baby and busted out the window trying to get out.? Hester Sue led the children out She saw them in the window and shouted something like "The Baby" She was a very popular character.

Hey Mike! This is one of the very best video's you've ever done, EPIC!!!! A shame Michael Landon isn't still here. I can just see that wide smile he had, he would have loved it! I miss Mr. Edwards too!!! I've read all the books and have watched all the shows, many many times! It is sad to see that golf cart and the picture of Michael, Mr. Edwards, and whoever else riding in it back then, having fun, laughing and cutting up, and so sad that they're gone now!!! A shame times aren't like this anymore! Thanks so much for taking us along Mike!!! I didn't just like this video, I lovedddddddddddddddddddddddd it!!!! So much fun, so many memories and so sad to know that a lot of them have already passed on!!!

My then husband and I went to L.A. for vacation in 2003 and spent a day exploring Santa Monica and Malibu. We were pleasantly surprised to stumble across the Michael Landon Community Center in Malibu. For those who haven't been there, it's across from Pepperdine University! The park where it sits overlooks the Pacific Ocean and is unbelievably scenic.

They really don't make shows like Little House any more, just a sweet, wonderful show that taught kids like me what was right and what was wrong, our generation growing up watching shows like LIttle House is one of the reasons we grew up to be good, decent and honest people - sadly that is lacking in today's society

FYI Mike, Michael Landon Jr. is the developer and executive producer (also wrote and directed some episodes) of the show "When Calls the Heart" which has been running for 11 seasons on the Hallmark Channel. It is set in 1910 in a coal mining town in western Canada and has much the same feel as Little House on the Prairie. It is shot in Langley, British Columbia at what is called the Jamestown movie set on the property of MacInnes Farms. Fun fact is Dom DeLuise's son Peter is a regular director for the show as well. One of my kids has been a crew member on the show for the past 7 seasons.

Michael Landon knew how to make good entertainment. He lives on in hearts. Thank you Michael. I saw more of his later works. The really fun thing in the seventies was wearing clothes like that..Gunni Sax dresses etc. I think that show reflected not just the great teachable stories but the hard work and “simple” life. They feel like a family, don’t they? Melissa is still so pretty. What delightful people they all are, huh? The lady who played Nellie Olsen reminds me of my aunt. ❤️ Haha, the glum face behind the two of you in the photograph adds to the story.🤭 I wish you could have seen the set of Bonanza. What a great journey down memory lane. Thank you! I watch this show when I was a kid. It was one of my favorites. I read all the books too. Good family values. How fun that you got to meet the cast.

Brought back so many memories!! Loved this show. Loved Touched by an Angel. When I was a teenager we went to vaca in LA & we stayed at the Beverly Hilton (quite the hot spot back then). There was a famous restaurant in the hotel, Trader Vics. It was my Mom, Aunt & I. I assumed we'd be seated in or near the kitchen LOL Although Mom was quite the stunner, with not a hair out of styled place, perfect makeup etc. So she chatted with the maître d' & he led us to this little island in the middle of the restaurant. The tables were very close. My Mom whispered something to me like "they are people too, don't stare." I didn't grasp why she said this. Then we were seated. To our left was Elton John, to our right Michael Landon!!!! People were staring from all over, but my Mom acted as if we were seated between any regular folks. A couple people kept coming to Michael Landon, while he was clearly trying to eat. So Mom positioned her handbag so they couldn't get by LOLOL He gave her a nod & ear to ear smile. So we all ate a great meal. Michael Landon was done a bit before us and on his way out stopped, smiled at all of us, told us what a pleasure to have been seated there, a little chit chat and smiled with such gratitude at my Mom. It was a great experience as well as a great lesson. Plus a short but lovely interchange. OH.... this would have been during the Little House years and I was shocked that his hair was totally gray. STUNNING but gray. But when we saw him on TV in a month or so, it was blonde. So guess he colored it for shows for many years. Quite the handsome man either way!!! Elton John didn't even glance at us LOL

@@cbsundance The “bodyguard” could have moved a foot over, especially when GiV was PAYING for the selfie. He was being a sour puss and I would have just told her politely if she can get him out of the shot for a second, and she would have been cool about it, because she has done conventions before.

8:58 I met Patrick while working one day as a soda vendor in Anaheim at a Ralph's. lol I was on the aisle doing my job and heard someone walking near on the aisle, so, when I looked at him, I recognized him from the TV show JAG. I said, you look familiar, JAG, right? He said, Yes! He was so nice and we both were cordial. I shook his hand and he obliged, we chatted about that show for a minute or so, and then I helped him with what he needed right there. lol That is the second time I met a celebrity that I knew in public. He was a real gentleman. I didn't take a photo with him, just meeting him and all was good enough. 12:25, Mike, Ketty was mostly around when the blind school came to be in those later seasons. 28:00 The Lord is my Shepard, Season 1, episode 13. 2-part episode. Mike, thank you so much for being here for the rest of us to see! I was 8 when it aired on TV in 1974. I remember most of the episodes and in fact, I have the entire series on Blu-ray, restored, since about 2017 or so. Love them all. It's too bad the actress Alison Balson who played NANCY in the later episodes could not be there besides Melissa Sue Anderson. Nancy was just as mean as Nellie, if not more. lol Melissa Sue Anderson was in an early '80s horror movie called "Happy Birthday To Me". The first horror movie based solely around that event.

My husband and I went to Simi Valley when we were in CA visiting about 15 years ago and got to see where the show was filmed. I grew up watching Little House and always loved it. Hope we can return to more good, wholesome shows like this - clearly it’s something many would appreciate.
