I found myself procrastinating and falling down the rabbit hole of KZread Shorts this morning, so I am particularly proud of myself for making it to the mat before noon. This yoga practice helped me to cultivate the fire and the self-empowerment I need to move through the rest of my day with more intention as well as self-compassion. I really enjoyed this one today.

So I took the self confidence to heart and made each pose just a bit deeper each time and ending up getting some rainbow warriors that felt better than ever! (That flow has been oddly challenging considering I'm pretty solid with my Skandasana.) Thank you and happy Sunday!

Hi David, thank you for all that you do. By chance, can you please consider doing a video on your daily nutrition needs? What is a typical day of food consumption for you? Do you feel caffeine is not beneficial for us and how many days per week are you exercising? Please and thank you.

Hi Krissy! I just love sharing these practices with you - I'm grateful that you appreciate them. I would LOVE to do some video(s) on nutrition! I've actually been wanting to for a while. Good nutrition is a crucial part of the human health equation! In a nutshell, I don't really adhere to any particular "diet" Rather I just avoid processed foods, I eat plenty of whole veggies and fruits (I try to stick to organic when I can), and for any animal foods, I make sure the animal was eating it's natural diet (i.e. grass fed beef, pasture raised eggs, wild caught fish, etc...), and it was humanely/sustainably raised. I also personally avoid dairy and gluten, but I believe those are more personal choices based on how your gut feels with those foods. As for caffeine, there's tons of research indicating coffee and tea have lots of health benefits when consumed in moderation, but sensitivity to caffeine varies dramatically from person to person, and caffeine later in the day can really affect your sleep which is definitely not good. Again I think this one is a personal choice based on how caffeine feels in your body, and if it impacts your ability to sleep at night. As for exercise, I believe it's important to have a daily practice, even if it's just a few minutes. I practice yoga every morning. I also love to go for a run a few times a week and sprinkle in some interval training types of movements when I can - core exercises, push-ups, etc.. Wow I didn't mean to write you such a book lol. Thank you for the questions! I'm looking forward to doing more videos on these subjects 👍

I had to wake up early today and those goddess squats really woke me up. 😅 Today I'm meeting new people at work and I'm inspired to create an inspiring and loving atmosphere for them. As I need to speak in front of many people today I really needed a kick to my self confidence this morning. Thank you for giving me that! 💖 Glimmer from yesterday: a little walk in the forest with a friend. 🥰

I think the mooodra is beautiful. I don't know if anybody body else has ran across this issue but in Warrior I was mirroring you and ended up with my back to you and was turning my head to try to figure out what you were doing. I didn't do the practice today but in the past.

I love that you felt that mudra! And I'm sure this quandary of loosing your teacher behind your back happens a lot. Such are the joys of practicing with a video haha. Perhaps those are the moments we turn our skills to listening and trusting our body a bit more, and laughing when things go weird 😂
