Don’t expect anyone to notice that you’ve lost weight. That was some of the best advice I’ve ever got. My mom noticed after 40 pounds. My husband noticed after 45 pounds. Everyone else is more concerned about themselves. 😎

Summary of the video ( there’s only 8, did I missed the 2?) Mistake # 1. Going 0 to 100 Take one small change - one at a time. Don't get overwhelm! Take it slow but sustainable. Mistake # 2. Weigh training makes you bulky. Weight training will increase muscle and burns more calories Mistake # 3. Copying another people's diet/macros Everyone has different body - Mistake # 4. Skipping rest days Take 2 days off -- very essential Mistake # 5. Comparing your chapter 1 to someone else's chapter 10 Don't compare yourself someone -- takes time to Mistake # 6. Expecting other people to reward you Nobody is going to care -- don't rely on other people. It's a personal journey! Learn to clap for yourself! Mistake # 7 - Only using the scale. Best way is looking at changes in the mirror, taking progress photos, how clothes are fitting Mistake # 8 Not pushing enough in weight training Push yoursefl very hard

I have been working out for almost 3 months (lost 16 pounds). I have had several cheat days because things come out my way but I just try to be better the next day. To be honest, I think I am doing better mentally because I keep in mind "it takes time." Thanks for reminding me to keep going!

Yes! I'm just getting started too and allowing myself grace when I make a wrong choice is the hardest! I decided this time that one wrong choice will not result in "I'll make better choices tomorrow", but "I'll make better choice next meal". Good luck to you on your journey!

I really appreciate that you don’t pressure people into following specific guidelines or make people feel bad for their choices. It seems to me like you guys are really passionate about fitness and lifestyle, not about bragging about your progress to others. To me it seems like many influencers shame others into doing things exactly how they do it and I appreciate that you make fitness not overly glorified or difficult. You all make it attainable! Love it 💗💗

You guys are so cute 😍 Something that I’ve learned in addition to “don’t expect others to pat you on the back” is that others aren’t going to understand your journey/personal relationships are going to suffer a bit. There have been many times in the last few months where I had to pass on a hang out to go to the gym...I’ve noticed that it builds some resentment and sometimes a loss of friendship. It’s hard, but if you stay true to yourself and your goals and your friendship survives then they’re friends worth having.

Thanks for posting this! I lost over 110 pounds through changes to my diet and exercise and have kept it off for the past 6 years based on so much of what you discussed (starting small, celebrating small victories, focusing on my body's needs) so important to talk about sustainability.

Omg I needed this video and to hear this. I've been going to the gym for about 6 months with a friend and I cannot tell you how many compliment she gets with her weight loss and I have not gotten any. Granted she is a bit bigger but you can tell I've lost weight too. I get so upset because I feel like no one notice or cares. But it's not about what people think. All that matters is what I think and right now I feel fit and strong. 💪 LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

Lately I have been getting down on myself because I think that I am not seeing results fast enough, but I just keep telling myself, “it takes time, stay focused, it’s your journey.” My scales battery also broke this morning and I think it is the best thing mentally for me. I will focus on progress photos and clothing for now. Great video guys! ♥️

When I used to go to a climbing gym it was easier to push grades, by trying to complete certain routes was so much fun! It was a lot more social too. But at my current regular style gym, where all the equipment have been the same as they were for years, it feels very much the same. It's so easy to get stuck in the same routine, where you don't push yourself anymore. It's also a lot more isolated, so it's easier to do "whatever" and get away with it! Thanks for reminding me to keep pushing myself!

I say all the time to my boyfriend “I lost another pound!” And “I did 20lbs more on squats than last week!” And just is like.... “cool.....”. And it hurts my heart and I feel that he doesn’t care. Subscribed! You guys are so honest and real! Love it! And what you're saying makes SO MUCH SENSE. Since January I've been yo-yoing, I cut my calories down to 1200-1400, go so hard in the gym for 3-4 days and by the 5th day I wind up binging and then restarting again on the following Monday. This has made it so I haven't lost a single pound since January! But I just started a more personalized meal plan that wants me to eat between 1600-1800. Honestly that many calories scares me because I don't want to gain but I know, like you guys said, got to do it slow and steady for those long term results.

9 mo. ago i was that girl...scared of lifting weights for many reasons. that was until i joined crossfit! if you are on the same boat, i highly recommend you becoming part of a box. I have learned the proper way of lifting and i take every chance i get in helping my body and learning the right ways. i go 3xs a week and the other 2-3 days i go to the gym where i utilize what ive learned and i am not scared or worried about hurting myself bc i know i am doing the exercises correctly. i love lifting weights. that is something i never thought i'd enjoy. my issue is food and i am working and focusing on that right now. You help me get passed those days Mari. if i'm feeling some type of way i have turned to your channel and listening to your story keeps me still and brings me back to why i want to do this for myself. i constantly fall of the wagon but im trying and hoping this one will be a long ride to success and if i fall, you are teaching me ways to overcome that and keep going. Thank you:)

Love this video, as always! I think it would be super useful to do a video targeted at couples trying to achieve their goals together. My partner Chris was saying there aren't as many videos on youtube for guys trying to achieve their fitness goals, so what is happening now is I am taking all the information from Mari and other inspiration sources and applying them to both Chris and I which probably isn't right because he doesn't want the same results as me. A video aimed at the similarities and differences of how you both eat/workout could be really interesting (you could add some couples ideas like good date night cheat meal, that would be cute). Or... maybe Greg should also have a channel for the fellas, haha!

Something that helped me tons was finding a second job that makes me stay active 3-5 days a week for 2-6 hrs a day. I took up being a pooper scooper. That made it feel like I was getting paid to exercise. Then I started weightlifting on any days I didn’t have that job. It’s helped me a ton. BTW , I want to try your Bloom products and will as soon as I finish my current ones :)
