Pixy and Ace Combat 6 allies are the best. Pixy on his own is impressive for being an older ally AI which could actually help, way better than your squadron in AC5 (Even if I have to admit one time Archer killed Hamilton before me). Ace Combat 6 was programmed to have a stronger AI because of the Allies Attack thing, wish they could bring that feature in next games (it would have made sense in Ace Combat X as Gryphus 1 is basically leading the counterattack on Leasath). Project Wingman's AI is good too, while you fight the enemy you picked a fight with, there's a whole battle going on.

Wardog/Razgriz were Pretty good too, sometimes You NEEDED them to Finish the mission as you ran out of weapons in Ace5

My problem with AC7 is how the game manage the top altitude of your plane. Independently of your speed and angle the plane always reacts mostly the same, like if the game with a invisible hand stops you as in "you cannot go that way m8". That and the fact that your plane feels weightless. AC3 and in a less extend the PS2 holy trilogy allows every plane to fight the ceiling according to your angle, speed and the plane specs. And you can feel the gravity pull in your maneuvers. That's something I kinda dislike on AC7, that "automated" way of handling those limits. For me they have the perfect balance in the ps2 titles.

Fun fact: AC3 is the only Ace Combat game that feature multiple battleskies: Regular atmosphere, Stratosphere, Space, even Electrosphere. Also it is *the most non-linear Ace Combat game ever* if you look up to its JP version (it has 4 different faction, 4 path, and 5 ending). No wonder Kazutoki Kono (director of Project ACES) says that remastering or even remaking Ace Combat 3 would be *Infinitely Impossible* task.

Im so tired of game needs to have better graphics (Maybe processing does need to upgrade) but I never had money to afford gaming PC. Gimme more of those insanely designed PS1 PS2 games. Ace Combat has so many great lore, and a lot of places to explore. Or give us optional missions like Project Wingman or AC5 or ACZ does it on certain missions. It doesnt have to be full remake like AC3 but there are proven ways to do it.

So here's a couple of fun facts The TLS is now real and owned by lockheed martin It's actually better than the Ace Combat one in some aspects because the laser can actually change its point of aim instead of needing the aircraft to use it like a gunpod Issue is, it's primarily used to deal with incoming missiles and not directly target enemy vehicles, still cool and very useful nontheless The weird "box-o-missiles" when you have 8AAM or something kiiiinda exists? F-15EX has that but they're exposed and not in a box.

Ahh AC3 will always have a special place in my heart. I live in Germany so the only version we had was the one without 99% of the cutscenes. I've just played the English dub some months ago and this game is still fantastic even if it's 15 years old. The Japanese version was so damn far ahead of its time with the storytelling. Don't get me wrong, I really really like AC7 too, but the feeling of AC3 is just so much better in my opinion. I wish there will be a remaster some day, but one that sticks to the feeling of AC3. Maybe with the option to buy some planes instead of unlocking them all by just playing and S ranking some missions. God damn now I want to play it again.

I enjoyed ace combat 7, but if I want to fly now I play 6 or wingman. My favorite thing about wingman is that the devs realized (please for the love of god catch up ace combat 8) that aircraft can carry more than basic missile and one special weapon.

You NEVER forget your first Merge with the UAVs. Stole my Breath away in the Mission where you Escort the General. Fighting for this dude's life. And then suddenly an Formula-1 Car perfectly 1:1s my DarkStar's 1-Circle Rate-fight. I didnt know about holding "Target Change" to Lock your view onto an Enemy. So I just carefully eased my Joystick up to see it, toying with me. It was a Hell of a Fight. Easily my favorite BossFight Track (For Aerial Bosses).

While I really love the sound from AC3, I think it's fair to say that it wouldn't work in AC7 that well. Their soundscapes were meant for different stuff, there's so much effort put into mixing AC7 to perfection, it wouldn't fit the rest of the game to make the engine sounds like in AC3
