The more the time passes, the more we can appretiate the attention to detail that the older AC games had, too bad AC7 had such a massive development hell that didn't allowed the game to reach it's full potential.

Seems like most of the effort went into the game engine and the models and effects came second to the game. Hopefully AC8 will have more life in it

​@@APerson-ni1gbyeah. they threated this game like it was some sort of live-service scam and the online wasn't even worth it. Come on, that pathetic excuse for an online mode was a massive downgrade compared to Infinity, which still holds for the most details in an Ace Combat game (such as all explosions damaging you as well as the enemies)

I hope ac8 has much more detail and system(like ac6). Ace combat7 is quite good game but it's little bit simple to old ac fans.

kinda like how they make everything very detail on carrier scene on AC5 and more like real specially they giving blaze's PoV from plane bring up to deck and launch prepare

Legend has it Trigger reached beyond the stratosphere while full-on airbraking.

If you play AC5 without naval planes for 100% of the campaign, you're playing it wrong. The fact that AC5 has both the best F-14s and the Best F/A-18s in all of ace combat also helps

you can land anywhere in AC5 as long as you do know how slow ya gotta be. There's a video about it somewhere.

I love the animated cutscene of launching off the carrier in AC5 but it's ruined by one thing. The deck crew disappear the second it switches to in game. It's kind of immersion breaking. AC7 might not have a lot going on, but at least you see them throughout the entire sequence.

I guess it's got something to do with the performance limitations of the PS2. But hey, at least they nailed that cutscene brilliantly! :)

@@mathmocha1331 oh it’s absolutely because of performance limitations on the PS2 that’s why I thought it was so cool to see the deck crew during takeoff in AC7. Unfortunately the only time the deck crew can be seen doing anything is in the VR mission where you take off from a carrier

How come old ace combat games are very detailed to small details

It seems to me that AC7 is a kind of experiment with graphics and other options and mechanics. I very much hope that the AC8 will combine both the realism of the AC3 and the graphics of the AC7

What bothered me in zero and 5 is that when you land your aircraft they "stick" to the runway so if you flare your nose up your aircraft will immediately be flat with the runway as if the game is holding your hand. 4 didn't have this mechanic

Let's just hope AC8 will be better and not regressing into lesser AC7

Game went through developement hell for years and was almost cancelled multiple times. Just be grateful the series is back and look forward to the next 3 planned games.

@@NovaStrike118 Im not saying its bad in fact i have over 300 hours in it im just saying the older ones had more attention to detail and realism balanced well with arcade while 7 has unrealistic speeds and the gimmick levels get old really fast but 7 blows every other one out of the water with aircraft selection and post stall maneuvers like i said its not a bad game and im not ungrateful. An 8/10 is still worse than several 9/10s

More like Just mods lol smh And PA runs salt in wound with Worthless DLCs to throw a bone to consoles, literally the Stupidest and Most Greedy Move which started with Ace6, but at least THOSE DLCs were Worth it too bad they Deleted them When you look at it PA just shit out Nostalgic Paint schemes when they could of PATCHED in a Color Customizer besides the base game only had 3 different colors, the other Three were the Stupidest Excuse for LORE smfh

I've always said that AC7 is a game that got a free pass because everyone was glad AC was back and not dead. In truth it's a mediocre game in this series. I'd even put it below 6 because the story and characters are just as bad if not worse but the gameplay is not as good.

I never thought the Franchise was “nearing deth” !? All they have to do And STILL DO Is improve from Ace6 and make the FLYING PART Even Better

You comparing things that aren't comparable, in AC7 you land in a Carrier ONCE while the WHOLE AC5 is set around a carrier fighter group, hell the fighters they canonically use in that game say so, so, of course they would invest more in AC5 carrier crew... If in your game you only use a carrier for TWO missions would you waste your resources creating a realistic crew?? NO, you would spend the money on other places and add a placeholder crew just to make the carrier look more livable...
