Small corrections: The F/S-15 is based on the F-15B ACTIVE (which is literally the STOL/MTD but with circular thrust vectoring) The VX-23 is based on the F-22 but during development some changes were made so it looks more like the J-20

Yeah, the narrow engines on the VX-23 seem more a callback to the YF-23 and the F-22 being mixed together in some odd callback. I love the mix of them. The front wings are even YF design initially but the Chengdu is, for all intents and purposes, a rip off anyway.

acg 1 is su 57 there even mods ho change acg 1 to su 57.

The ACG-01 is actually based on a plane that 4-Chan designed. It's basically a mix and match of 3 different planes (hence the name Chimera) that was made for a banner, then a bunch of 4-Chan users said "Hey. If you put our plane in your game, we'll give you a bunch of Kickstarter money" and the rest is history.

this is just a random theory for the game, but my guess the fighters in the game are the real life counterparts, but renamed by Icarus Armory since the original designers of the aircrafts are long since gone during the AC era. It could explain why the fighters are renamed like the migs to the su line

Aside from the distant future theory, its a matter of licensing, they changed the name to avoid the licensing violation and for sure the developer must paid some licensed fee to get the real name of the plane, some of them even changed its model beside the name like VX23 and Chimera, remember this is an indie low budget game and surely they didn't have a many cost to paid for plane name licensing considering how expensive it is

if you look at the loading screens of Ace Combat 7, all the names are shown off like Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Saab, Eurofighter etc. every real aircraft needed to be licensed, maybe apart from Mikoyan Gurevich aircraft bc, you know, USSR isn't exactly gonna come knocking on Project ACES' door ahaha

The VX-23 is a bullpup F-22 Raptor. There are mods that switch the wings and the elevators and the plane looks exactly like the F-22.

Surprised nobodies talking about the shot of the PW-MK1, re-enacting the ending to Presidia. Got the skin and everything.

The ACG is somewhat resemblance the F 16XL varient, as well as Su 57.

@@NedTheUndead which is a joke in itself because many original planes from AC are refined mash ups of two or more IRL aircraft.

The ACG-01 is like a cross between the F-36 Kingsnake and the Su-57 Felon. The SPR-34 is like a mini gunfighter version of AC's ADF-11 Raven. The PW.MK.1 looks like it's inspired by Macross' VF-11 Thunderbolt.

The ACG was designed by frequenters of /aceg/ on 4chan's Video Game General board I believe. Hence it's called that. It's also why there's an /aceg/ squadron in Conquest with mostly Anonymous members if I remember correctly.

I'm honestly surprised how well you pilot with the mouse. I heard that it was wonky and I've only played with a gamepad, but I might try mouse control out now.

Mouse controls make the game way easier once you get past the learning curve, especially compared to just keyboard. The only issue is that they use the novice controls as a base so the plane levels off after a manoeuvre.

I actually prefer KB&M over gamepad, it just feels smoother. I think I'll try mouse control once I finish my current campaign.

For ACG-01, iirc its a combination of a Su-57, BAE Tempest, and F-16. Maybe you can put all of the image just for comparison.

There is a F version of the F18 in game called F/F18 super horney. It even has the Burst Missile Launcher. The A-10 and su34 is also there. These were all unreleased planes but can be used by mods.

Can you aslo include the unreleased planes too? Edit: ACG-01 is a hybrid of Su-57, Bae Systems Tempest and F-16XL

What looks better the spear or the PW mk1 I honestly think the spear because of its engine design as well as the areas near the cockpit just look wide but also very aerodynamic.

all the planes in project wingman are just the ones they resemble in real life but they had to change the names to avoid copyrights from the aircraft manufacturers ace combat is allowed to use the official names of the jets because they got the papers from the aircraft manufacturers

It's like a deadly combination of the CFA-44 (with the ADMMs) and the X-02S Strike Wyvern (with the railgun but more powerful)

Pw mk1 is a cfa 444 nosferatu from acecombat even has admm and a railgun

I only just now realized the mig was changed to mg cause my brain auto corrected it

For me tho, VX-23 is YF-23 only for name wise while its whole body is F-22 and J-20 combined

The ACG looks like it's based off the Y/F 23

The PW-MK.1 looks like a combination of a Su-57 and an F-14.

You know you can actually do PSM. Use AOA Limiter. Also its just like Ace combat PSM only some planes can do it. And the PSM at every speed.

VX-23 is pretty much a NATF-23

The F/E-18 is the super hornet.

SP-34R this is a modification version J-20

really wish they had the actuall radar gun sight instead of a wobly one in ac games. sometime the irl way something works is cooler than the made up version

By "they" you're addressing to a single guy who despite a total community support, which made this game possible in a first place, has mismanaged his creation so badly that ended up pissing everyone off. Instead of delivering upon the promised updates, releasing cut content and overdue fixes, he went off the radars for a year, first popping out to grab GamePass deal, making a barely functional port for Xbox One (which at the time was perceived as an attempt to share the game with more people, so community let that slide, despise the obvious red flags), and then after another year of radio silence he went for Sony's money as well, releasing PS5 port (of not a great quality either) with an exclusive PSVR2 mission pack, which was basically a middle finger for everyone who've supported him up to this point. He also have released a rushed beta on Steam around the same time with new cloud and lighting effects (which nobody asked for), making game even more unstable and resource-demanding (instead of addressing the existing issues, never mind the originally announced updates and content). And again, no communication whatsoever. How do you think, what are the chances of him making anything like you want? Your best option at the moment is to go at NexusMods and download SkM.30 (which was actually a part of a cut content) that will replace Sk.37 via Project Sicario Merger (you'll be even able to download Sol 1 and UPEO skins for it).
