If I remember right Prez’s VA recorded a bit of bonus content that doesn’t show up in game. Basically instead of passing out in the final boss she goes batshit and starts shouting at Monarch to “put him on the nose and kill him”. Apparently it’s a reference to a very enthusiastic instructor, but it comes off as Prez going Yandere.

Imagine being Crimson 1, losing in a fight he started, on a plane 3 generations ahead, after a surprise attack, full armor and weapons, against a 2-seater with the co-pilot KO'ed and the other one flying solo in a way that doesn't kill Prez when managing every system.

Prez Knocked out by holding too much G's. A pilot test in USAF is handle 9G's for 5 seconds, new ones knocked out fastly, advanced ones nearly handle even more few seconds.

Amazing how so many people loose their pants for ... well tecnically a voice on a radio since we never have seem her in the game, besides on the fanarts that the comunity does. That's the magic of this game ^^ even without seeing the characters and how they look, we root for them in the end. We really need that SK.30 damn it....

Genuinely, that was the line that sold me, not just on Prez as a character, but PW as a proper successor to Ace Combat. I say this because, if AC8 had a voiced WSO, they'd try to out-snark our main girl, while trying to maintain them being a super serious military man - Kinda like Húxiān from 7, but less palatable.

While it's not said outright, I like the subtle hints they give that Monarch and Prez are possibly dating. Mission 3: Prez asks if Monarch they can afford to buy and share a bottle of wine afterwards. Mission 5: "All I need is 10 minutes with you Monarch and I'm in the black for a week." If that isn't a sexuel innuendo I don't know what is. Then at 5:05 she says how "Monarch treats her just right". It's said in the games codex that Monarch unintentionally hurts her whenever they fly together just from the physiological strain of G Forces. The way she says that line suggests Monarch is kind and gentle with her on the ground. Prez x Monarch is perfect

I feel like the level of their relationship is basically left up to the player. Personally, I view the two as good friends towards eachother(as I've had a particular distaste for shipping for a long time now), but there really isn't anything that explicitly prevents others from viewing their relationship as something more.

There's something about Prez's line at 1:42 that gives me the tingles, like as if she's saying "ayo Back Off I'm the one that gets to make those kinds of jokes with him, not you, stay in your lane"

I think monarch's amazing ability to not be affected gravity takes a toll on the little wso waifu, just a little. At first I thought she offed herself in the backseat out of pure stress the way it sounded, but she just passed out from the highly intense dogfighting in the last mission. Do some topside-out loops monarch, I think it's a requirement that all her blood can't all go into her feet, put some back into her skull lmao.

seeing as this games original budget was $15k, I love how Monarch, Prez, AWACS Galaxy, Comic, Diplomat and the others feel like a group of friends, rather than professional pilots

in the end, crimson got killed, we flew somewhere to stay low, and have some quality time with our wifu after she has recovered, The End.

She does survive, if you place Merc Difficutly that is. Also she more or less passed out from G Froce. The funny part on the devs is I don't think they knew how to simulate a knocked out pilot, so she just despawns. Which when you think about it if you eject out of a 2 Seater the whole canopy would disappear, so Monarch would find him self flying a convertible with wind hitting his face at over Mach Speed.

I mean, the line more refers to her having enough money from Monarch's flying in ten minutes that she won't have to work the rest of the week. Buuuuuuuut...entirely possible she means 10 minutes with Monarch means she's satisfied for a week. ...I don't mind option two, really. There's some other dialogue, like the 'Share a bottle of red', that could be read as such.

For an idie game, this is some real good detail that they put into it. Don't think I've played many flight sims where the second person in the cockpit actually spoke. Let alone putting in the time to put in that little detail of them slouching forward to show they passed out from the G's.

since the Ace Combat WSOs never talk i always thought they were a duplicate of the character we are using. something like Mobius 1 suddenly cloning himself like a bacteria so he could pilot the two seater planes.

Well technology kinda stopped developing for quite a while after the cataclysm, which resulted in the PW universe's current technology level not being too advanced compared to irl (minus the airships and miniaturised railguns ofcourse)

@@PrograError yeah, F4's are gen 3 jets, butbits not too far-fetched that in post-apocalyptic society, people would try to refurbish F4s. They'd probably take any capable aircraft they can find

It's a shame that some plane are used to be 2 seater but ended up being 1 seater instead. I'm talking about F/A-18E (final game) from F/A-18F (alpha/beta ver.), and F-15S/MTD (it used to be 2 seater).

in my first (and actual only) playthrough i didn't knew the characters yet so i never knew Prez and two-seat planes existed, now i want to beat the game again with her, but sadly my gamepass subscription ends tomorrow

I like how in ace combat JA or X² you can select your WSO.

7:28 Holy sheet, she actually disappeared after passing out... Couldn't notice that because I'm so focus on Crimison and evading his hundred missile, laser and bomb that explode and explode another set of laser...

Never flew in a two seater aircraft, didn’t know this was a thing.

In the final mission, after Prez's final dialogue you can look at the cockpit and see that she's actually slumped forward in her seat. Nice detail. Also WE NEED MORE TWO-SEATERS

COME ON GROMMIT, WE NEED TO BLAST THE SKY-GUNS AND SAVE THE WENSLEYDALE!

Is it bad that when I saw "Wensleydale" in the world entry tab my first thought was Wallace saying "Wensleydale"?
