Yes, I know Prez isn't here. Prez is cut content. It would be very difficult to make an actually funny or visually entertaining segment based off of what amounts to 7 minutes of optional dialogue. I love Prez, the fans love Prez, but Prez wasn't good for this video. I tried. Normally, I would put slower stuff that breaks the pacing at the end, but uh, if you've seen the end you probably know why she couldn't fit. Unfortunately. For real, I had to restart mission 9 two times because I crashed into an AWACS after I killed it with guns with my frogfoot... twice in a row. The exact same AWACS, exact same angle even! I crashed both times I brought it down.

well i wished there were more planes and weapon types to be honnest. i wish someone would make an ace combat style game with all the weapons and planes of previous ace combat esk games and allow u to use the weapons on any plane. and more missions with multiple targets. after u beat the game a couple of times theres only really like 2 missions worth playing over again for the sake of destruction. also conquest mode hardly has any fun ground targets and it's always the same damn map.

Fun fact: you get an achievement for one of the characters saying the name of the game. Also pretty much every mission gives you a rare achievement with only around 5-7% of people getting it for some reason. The percentage drops down to 1% after a few missions in

Lots of people will buy a successful game bc it goes on sale and is highly recommended, but they simply never have time to pull it out of their backlog and play the whole thing. Also flight games are generally kind of unfriendly to people who don't have a controller to plug in

Crimson 1 believed so fully in the Federation cause that he defected, even though he was the top ace, simply because he didn’t think a single individual could effectively stand against the Federation. And then you come in and prove him wrong. Now, his world view is shattered, and his insanity is him trying to hold on to what scraps of that world view remains. He wants to shoot you down because you represent everything he *could* have been. In the end when he says his final words, he’s not implying the thunder or storm as being Monarch’s death. It’s warning that when the time comes that Monarch’s world view gets shaken, to remember what happened to Crimson when it happened to him, so as to not end up like him.

The giant planes are the most threatening enemy in the game. Not because of their guns and missiles. It's their hull. I have been killed by crashing into airships more times than I have been hit by their weapons.

11:30 I really hope we get a fight like this in AC6.5; Imagine how AWESOME it would be if The RLF, Balam, The PCA, Arquebus, the RaD, and [REDACTED] All sent ACs to secure a batch of Coral or something, and you're there, and it's just THE CHAOS OF WAR as every side hopes to be the last one standing, swayed only by you. It would be GLORIOUS.

I do know a flight game that includes lava damage. It's called Star Fox 64 and is about half as crazy as this game. And considering you fight giant space robots and trains piloted by monkeys until eventually killing a giant head at the center of a planet, I'd say that is damn impressive. Who knew that the secret to a batshit crazy plot was lava damage?

12:24 If you pause exactly here, you can see that's the mission briefing map from Ace Combat 4, this leads me to believe that Max0r has already probably finished both AC4 and AC5 but never made reviews of them probably because of how hard it is to emulate those two games with all the bugs and glitches sadly. My second theory is that he probably found the story of those two games to be a lot more grim-dark and serious and has nowhere near the amount of ridiculousness that Ace Combat Zero and Ace Combat 7 is known for. Well I am still satisfied with his AC0 and AC7 reviews and absolutely love them. Just wanted to point out this curious little thing.

0:45 To sum up the book, the missile knowing where it is is dependent on which universe we're in. Real life, yes. Strangereal, also yes, but the missile exists in a state of quantum superposition where it will most likely miss if you look directly at it but will teleport behind you the second you look away and smack straight into your tailpipe. The only way to not get hit is to be an Ace which automatically means you can defy every law of physics to exist so that you can pull of a 50G turn and dodge the missile.

I remember when I first finished this game. It was Oct. 28th and I had to rush playing and finishing it because it was on gamepass and it was leaving gamepass Nov. 1st (I bought it back afterward though) So at the end of the Presidia episode I was livid! I had spent 7 HOURS playing through all missions and then Crimson ruined it all. So of course when kings started I had no mercy. I was spouting so many insults it could’ve made a very insulting paragraph. Never will I ever have so much hate for one character ever again. Just glad I buried that bastard.

I'm glad it got a console port: I enjoyed AC7, but some of the mission parameters on that game could get hilariously frustrating at times. I just wish the hit detection when fighting airships worked better; pouring dozens of missiles into one only for it to splash harmlessly because the SAM is on the other side of the wing really activates my almonds after awhile. Adding the Thunderbolt would be great, too; I miss my lumbering, majestic BRRRRT bird. EDIT: Ironically enough my own house almost burned down while watching this video. Max and I are officially mood kindred.

These videos have the greatest rewatch value I ever seen because not only are the jokes great, both the games' plot and the summary provided by Max0r are so convoluted and confusing that my brain will be able to retain absolutely nothing about what I just watch

I really love project wingman and I play it exclusively in VR and if you happen to fly with Prez in a two seater (mod or not) they do have dialogue that talks about how she is the only one that can keep up with Monarchs flying barely. She even passes out from G-LOC in the finale mission against the insane Crimson 1.

9:44 just the way he says that cracks me up every time.

What makes Project Wingman even better is that it was made by like 3 people and it's only $25

The US military industrial complex is contracted by the US government to build tanks the US Army does not even want in the first place because they still have so many. The makers just build them anyway... and then strip the electronics out or something and send them out to warehouses in the desert where the total lack of humidity maintains the tanks as close to perfection as possible so they can, theoretically, be used in the future. So yeah, it is actually perfectly realistic that post-apocalyptic people would be riding into battle with tanks made today. I think planes are not made exactly in the same insane process, but they still have old planes maintained the exact same way: just empty them and leave them in the desert.

This made me laugh harder than what I was supposed to.

this review came with impeccable timing as i just finished the first of my attempts to finish the entire campaign with *every plane*, on hard, using only cockpit view. it may have taken over 20 nearly-consecutive hours of pain and suffering, but i just stomped Crimson and his PW-Mk.I in a MiG-21 Trainer with only default weapons and fuel tanks. this means that, canonically, the single largest world power employing the latest vehicles and weaponry, fielding the supposedly "best" squadrons in the world lost to a soviet dart piloted by a coked-up mercenary maniac with anger issues and a cramping trigger finger the journey was long, i may have nearly lost my mind, but i got there in the end now i just have to do it all over again with the other planes. j o y

this game is great because in the first mission (or the second idk) a mountain blows up and if you're too close because you didn't know the mountain was gonna blow up you gotta start the mission all over again it's awesome
