I changed the filters on Synergy X9 and the filters light stays on. The manual says to take the cap off and push the reset button while the machine is running. I cannot locate a cap or a button. Any thoughts?
When is the after video for the blue Vax Essentials?
Soon! It's not sold yet either, fancy it 😂
@@beko1987 Hope to see the after vid soon. Quite a nostalgic machine, don't see a lot anymore
Bonus Sam friday!! The old dirt devil titan - does remind me of a panasonic and the handle of a lux - nice old creaky clunky little red devil - i mean dirt devil lol
Ah oops, that was supposed to be tomorrow but oh well 😂 Its lovely tbh. Light, the handle looks awful but is the perfect height and angle, and it groomed really well
I have a dc40 again finally! this one is not going anywhere🤣 what is your method for washing vacuums i use either fairy liquid or cif and brush it in with a damp painters brush.
This really did take me back to my childhood 😊 my mum had exactly the same VAX 121 and exactly the same Dyson. Was always a summer holiday treat for me when I was growing up to vax all my Nans carpets, my mums as well. Sounds crazy doesn’t it but it’s true 🙄🙈
Hi, just came across your video. Absolutely love your enthusiasm for the VAX 121; I have 2 of them myself (1 was my Nans with the original 900w motor and the other was my mums with the newer 1,000w motor). Sadly they’re both showing their age and need refurbishing BUT I just can’t part with them for love nor money 🥰
what is your method for washing vacuums
I think crap, Henry wanted to be the main one of the video
Technically when James herriot shoved his hand into a cow Sam it wasn't her bottom he was aiming for 😆 'Al se no more on tha subject old cock😆 Daftness aside I really do love that 825. Had a 750 and it was nowhere near as nice looking as your 825.
My wife summed up our Vax machine: "I hate this machine". Expensive rubbish.
We had a light grey Turnbomaster from 1989 till after my parents died, and until my heartless brother threw it in the tip,
I have a BrewDog about 6 miles from me. Funny seeing that shirt. 😁
This is mint how have you kept it in good condition
The camera must flatter it as it's faded to heck 😢😂 Just stored it as well as I could, and been lucky nothings fallen on it 😂
That's interesting seeing your first machine Sam. It's in remarkable condition for it's age.
Not my first vac, but the oldest one I still have I think
Wow sutch a nice machine
Can't beat an old turbopower. Good to see your oldest owned cleaner Sam and the methods past you used to repair it.a lovely model too.
Hi Sam. The old ones are the best as they say! How much would you charge pls for a Dyson DC11 service and fixing the brushroll pls?
Hello, which lubricant do you prefer to use for agitator bearings please ? That sounds so smooth. Literally like new. I remember the whistle that seemed to be from the addition of th tools compared to our previous (soft bag TP Junior). We had this exact model in my family around 1994/5 I think. I notice in one of your vids you give a tip to remember that one thing should be greased and another lubricated (with oil) but can't remember which , or, your choice of product ? Thanks 😊
Anyone that has love and compassion for animals and our feathered friends is indeed a lovely soul 🥰
Now got another. The identical model to yours Sam. If I'm honest I've seemed out another one for ages now and glad I've got one.they are very very powerful.
i got a turbopower recently how does this keep happening lol, also did you see the northern lights
I did
What year is that DC07 From ?
Good parts for you in the future Sam. Turbopowers will always be around and as such parts will always be needed!!!!
Yep! There was ko saving this one, I've already used and sold some of the parts 😂
The hood crumbles like a dry leaf Sam!!
Poor Hoover :(
The turbopower will be ok 😂
@@J.Crawford-Smith1978 yay :)
i like the DC24 for some reason, it isn't that flimsy it is very light and it is not terrible at filtering and cleaning. and it really is tiny. the motors do burn out for fun though.
Its on the channel i got a death by DIY up22 for 20 pounds
16:21 i belly laughed with the looming clog right after you said there was not one.
Ho un aspirapolvere Folletto Vorwerk 130 PL512 vorrei sapere a cosa serve questa macchina. È adatto per pulire il pavimento e serve un prodotto speciale per farlo? Grazie mille
a truly brilliant video! I just replaced the motor on my grandmas DC14 with your help, it hadn't stopped working yet but stank of the motor death smell when it ran, and the pre-filter was full of black dust, and she admitted to having never changed or cleaned the filters so I guess that's what killed it? also interesting the switch was playing up, I've already replaced the micro-switch on my grandmas DC14 because it wore out, I think because the clear red button has the depression off to one side your always pressing the switch unevenly so they wear out
is this Monty Python?
thanks a lot i was so happy to find this, despite you didnt fix it you inspired with a lot of ideas. What i found is two pieces i had exact same problem. Resistor replaced, but it smoked immediately again, i found the LDO 7533 - marked as U60 on PCB is short and mosfet too, replaced these as well and all good. thanks. hope this helps.
Dc04s come up fairly nicely
This was the best Dyson made Followed by the dc07 and dc14 I still haven’t sorted my 04 out 😂
I cant get that knob off and this is my friends and ifg I break it!??? I CANNOIT BELIEVE how Dyson thought this was a good idea!??
Their not too bad on later models, just got to try for the clips top and bottom and be careful not to slip with the screwdriver
Do you know or have any ideas how to unblock the jets ?
A small needle/bit of wire might do it? Just got to rod it through but without damaging the soft metal of the jet as it'll ruin your spray pattern.
I quite like the new mutant look 😂. I have recently inherited a huge amount of brand new Dyson spare from the local repair shop that closed down, certainly more spares than I will ever need please let me know if you want a large box of freebies.
Is this the one what became crap, Henry?
Another great repair Sir. How about you make an old dyson out of completely random spares you have regardless of colour and charity it off, and donate to a small animal rescue in memory of your beloved pet? The Dyson could be completely random in colour, and instead of calling out a DeStijl model, call it "DaBeko" 😊
Ah, that's where the 7 silver screws go. Thank you!
You can still get brand new DC33 cleaner heads direct from Dyson.
Really? Wow, they just have loads of them sat in a warehouse to still be flogging them 😂 Might have a look next time, are they on the website?
@@beko1987 They are on the website for £23 as are some other spares that may be compatible with the older models.
Yeh
I found it just by googling. £22. not a bad price if, and only if, the cleaner stands a chance of carrying on working. I have never known a brand of cleaner where the plastic failed as much as they do with Dyson.
A brilliant job done there Sam. You have given it many more years of life. After your DC04 before video I fished my identical DCO4 out and have been using it ever since. I think they are good machines. I had been using my DC14 for many years previously. A lovely video.
1:27 that is from a dc 14. i got the deal of a lifetime on facebook, a dc19 dc24 and... dc40 all for 20 pounds i was expecting the dc24 to be buggered but no it was fine
Nice bit of resto work. It will go on for a few more years for the customer now Sam. Dc04s are so venerable.
It looks so weird now lol 😂
I saw one for £10 at car bootsale should I get it
It's a good price! Their easy enough to fix mostly worst case! What's the bag like though?
Thank you just saved my self at least £45
I have in the distant past used a hose to fit a paper bag to a 119 in the same way as you did, although with the help of insulation tape to increase the diameter of the hose I terminated it into a Hoover Junior 1334-type bottom-fill bag connector. If I could find a way of using a paper bag successfully in a Hoover 612 then my life would be simple, because I clean several commercial areas that are carpeted and a 612 would be ideal, especially as so many of them are turning up all the time on Ebay and facebook. It's funny, because if you consider this one model ran for only about five years and still turn up now, and yet the Senior as we knew it ran from 1959 to mid 1980s in all different styles and models and colours, and yet they are so very hard to find now.
Bro so sad my grandparents received a big check, and bought the cheap crap bissell, no hepa filter, and no pet friendly brush, after owning this clunky one. Ive gotten a Shark a week before, mentioned how good it actually is. They have yet to return theirs and literally invest. Oh and this vacuum in this video, is indeed clunky, garbage! No matter how careful you are, the screws will strip. Because you are constantly, consistently having to remove the brush, to remove hair. Otherwise the belt slips, even with a new belt. And yes, it’s inefficient. And compared to my shark, it’s ineffective.
Now mod it to fit a dyson cinetic cyclone! 😂
