74 yo it’s incredible

Absolutely love old bronze coloured era hoovers. Back when vacuum cleaners were done well. When these are fettled they give a good standard of airflow and agitation.i think if id have had them in the 1950s id habe been really happy with them - the 612 for downstairs and the 119 for upstairs. Enjoy fixing these up Sam.

Both the 612 and 119 were in production from 1949 until 1955.

Wonderful Sam and and so well made. I think you should restore them if you could make time to do them.

I certainly will one day! They can't jump the queue yet, so I'm gonna stick them in the loft for a while

Thanks! I've got another 612 I've had longer I need to paint the handle and finish and get back to the owner. And the 119 needs a nice hammerite bronze paint job. Which means I'll probably do the 612 first as it's original paint is passable 😂

I plan to eventually. No idea when though, going to put them in the loft for safe keeping for a while* (finished filming another video on them last night that will come out soon)
