Electrolux Excellio Z5045 Remote Control - After Restoration!

Ғылым және технология

The fancy Electrolux Excellio is back in action once more! I put my best* PCB rebuildign skills I learnt from youtube to the test, and things now work well once more! But how well is well? In the Excellio's case, VERY well, I'd say these rival a nice early 90's Miele for raw airflow! Let's have a look.

Great vid beko, we still have Electrolux in Australia 🇦🇺 I liked that model but my fave is the old 331 style, I have an Australian made Volta in red that was called Red Devil that's in the 331 style

Nice! Lux has vanished as a name in the UK now, we get awful cheap AEG or Zanussi branded stuff now 😥

@@beko1987 yeah right! 😁 we have those sister brands too although the AEG and zanussi brands are more exclusive to kitchen appliances or AEG power tools. It's a shame that the quality has diminished over the years. The LUX brand Vacuum cleaner is no longer used here and now discontinued and the LUX/ELECTROLUX twin/clone that was sold here at our local Godfrey's store was called a Sauber.

Loving the videos, full of interesting knowledge and tips👍 I d like to offer some advice or help,as I worked on juniors and seniors for many years. The 1104/8 cream junior you refurbished a few months ago ,you did excellent job, however I think you might have overlooked a fundamental issue. (Bent Armature Shafts) these run out junior’s used ,I believe ( Softer metal) for the armature shafts. The one you had ,must have at some point picked up something Large and Hard for it to snap the blade off the fan. Sadly probably at this point it whacked the armature shaft out of true. Typically this will produce (vibration) and a wably sound. Tbh when you revisit this machine ,I’d recommend you swap the armature out for a unbent one. I have found ,if you get hold of a (INDUCTIVE DIMMER) 250-400w you can run the motor through this and slow the (revolutions down) this j have found really useful tool to determine (How out of whack) the armature shaft runs. You basically run the flex (Live) through the (INDUCTIVE DIMMER) to provide (speed control) or you could just configure it to a 13 Amp socket (OUTPUT) so that would allow you to quickly assess many machines easily by plugging them into the output socket. Keep up the great content, always interesting, always knowledgeable, and fun👍👍👍jason

Oooh thanks for the tip, didn't realise that it might be bent! I've still got that one, so it could be revisited! Will keep an eye out for a spares machine too and will get it swapped!

They used that glue on audio equipment we call it glue of death. It becomes corrosive when it breaks down.

This may be one of the last big canisters from Electrolux I’m not sure certenly we can comment here. It was sold as Mondo before the first small Oxygen I, after this Electrolux will go to small size. Certenly UltraOne is a big machine but it’s more a medium size, not like this one. For me one of the last big consumer canisters and of course a beautiful machine.

Can anyone recommend a safe lubricant for attachments? My Sebo wand keeps sticking at the point it connects to power head. I was thinking dry silicone, or trying to sand down plastic.
