I dislike red so much that in 1989 I waited several months longer to get a not red Miata, but man that red, it looks better than Mazda's soul red and that is saying something. Congrats.
I thought the blue with the black roof was my option, but in RED its awesome too. Cant decide not! lol

in my humble opinion any lotus needs to be either yellow or green. I love the dark green outer colour with everything else yellow (callipers and the interior stitching and the yellow stitched steering wheel) and it looks absolutely beautiful

Congrats Todd! I love when a fellow car enthusiasts gets a perfect car for them. I just upgraded from a Mustang GT to a Mach 1, which is the ultimate na Mustang for my use case and what I want. I am a muscle car guy and the S550 is my favorite modern muscle car. The only Mustang I’d ever want over this is an S550 GT500. Because I got it used I had a few minor compromises on spec I had to make as well but much like you those compromise areas are growing on me. It feels weirdly like a sense of completeness to have the perfect car for yourself and I am glad you’re experiencing it too! :)

Looking at the success the Emira has been where Alpha Romeo and Alpine fell short is curious. The Alpine was a text case of minimalism. But not selling it with a manual at all seems to be a problem. The market of buyers for that type of car want the engagement of a manual. But Lotus would likely not have succeed in selling an updated Elise. A bit too raw. Now if they can get the dealer network service and support right...the future is looking good. Perhaps a partnership with select Toyota/Lexus dealers?

Today must be my Everyday Driver day. First, my Powerstop carbon ceramic brake kit order is finally completed after waiting over a month (for the fronts). And then as I was heard on the podcast that Todd picked up an Emira. So I turn on KZread, and say to myself "Hey that looks familiar". And then I see that Todd bought his car from Gator Motorsports which I drive by almost every day.
When I can get 800K miles on a Genesis (I'm being hyperbolic), then I'll pick a Genesis over a Lexus. Until then, I'll continue to push my 1972 Plymouth Gold Duster (the Al Bundy version).
