Man Appeal or M. Appeal or Emma Peel. Quite clever. Had a huge crush on her when I was a kid watching reruns. I remember this episode. She was beautiful till the day she went away.
Great series impossible to replicate
on 0.22 you can see the lights and structure of the studio
Town of no Return 1965
Very sad to see Emma leave…. Poor Steed 😭
She was always giving the impression of being costumed as a super heroine.
Shame they were paying her less than the cameraman on the avengers
I am still stuck in Season One. And I must say that I had never seen anything that boring.
I actually prefer these credits to the ones we got in the UK especially the end credits. The playing cards one was so uninspired.
Tara King was my favourite. She was 🔥
This part was heart breaking in a way but inevitable. She was married and her husband found..Steed shows it..but keeps that British stiff upper lip with Respect. This show was so well crafted, addictive, creative, and imaginative!
I was heartbroken when this happened. I wept buckets
praying I get this scene for my media paper
I don't know how many people actually saw the section where you actually see Emma Peel's husband but I remember seeing the face and going huh as a kid and asking the question that dude has the same face as steed what is he his twin brother? Because I already knew back then they had a habit of splitting up children so I just took it for granted.
Marvel's Black widow and Modesty Blaze may have been modled around Ms.Peel character
Let’s give a reality check. The vast vast majority of women want a man like this…want the witty banter, want the playful sexual attraction. Woke isn’t around to help women…it’s meant to destroy men.
Mrs Peel is great but I prefer Cathy Gale.
Why are there no credits on this part or part one?
Perfect theme music
It absolutely BLEEEEEEEW when Mrs. Peel left the show.
Love Mrs Peels' apartment.
STRANGELY enough... "Death Dispatch" was the 1st Cathy Gale episode filmed, while the 2nd, "Warlock" was written & designed as her introduction. But BOTH wound up being run later in the season. In "Death Dispatch", Cathy is recruited by Steed's BOSS, not Steed, implying she was a professional agent, which, in all other episodes, she wasn't. Also, she's MUCH more releaxed and laid-back (AND LIKABLE!) in this one. According to Honor Blackman, they hadn't really figured out her character yet. It was her husband who suggested "Why not play it as a man? The writers will catch on soon." They did. If you watch "Warlock" with the thought in mind that was supposed to be her FIRST MEETING with Steed, multiple things throughout the entire episode confirm this. It's just that the actual first meeting scene-- filmed-- was REMOVED before broadcast. (I hate when they do that.) Because of Cathy's relaxed attitude in "Death Dispatch", it actually works better if seen much later. But "Warlock" really SHOULD be watched FIRST. "Mr. Teddy Bear", the 4th Cathy episode recorded, was aired FIRST that season. In syndication in the 90s, I somehow missed that one entirely. When I finally saw it on DVD recently, I realized why they ran it 1st. It's just a DAMNED good episode.
Era muy hermosa.
She died in 2020
This is the first time seeing the first appearance of Emma Peel. Diana Ring had the character from the beginning. The chemistry between Peel and Steed was there immediately. Usually it takes time for a new actor to establish who they are in an ongoing series but not Diana Rigg. This scene immediately established how Peel and Steed were going to work together. Nice.
What's interesting is how I was drawn in within seconds because the characters are so well developed- showing how British programmes are far more clever than American shows will ever be. And the actors are better. American shows are so badly written these days for an audience of undereducated who understand little more than slapstick.
I've been addicted to brunettes with brown eyes ever since
From an England that has been erased, Not disappeared in a natural progression of time, But erased and iradicated with a purpose and extreme prejudice
"Back in my day" used to not be accompanied by such conspiratorial angst.
@retro2103 Back in your day, you still had a country you, burry my head in the sand fkkn muppet, Are you any good at maths White people will be a minority here in 50 years. Is that a conspiracy or a fact? This wasn't a mistake in what multiculturalism would be
@retro2103 It's not angst when it's happening, It's anger, Which is the most denigrated demographic in our country, Which is the only demographic that can be openly hated, Who are the people that can not be critised? Have you seen the evidence of this in our society? You ever think about things, or do you spend all day in a left-wing echo chamber
@CHRISANDREOU4199 sounds more like you are in a right wing echo chamber to me; when you throw around words like 'erased' and 'eradicated'. You've chosen to be bitter and angry. To follow up on your leading little questions, I'm white as well and I do not feel denigrated or experienced such stark injustice as you claim to have. So I'm going to have to chalk it up to you just being easily offended by even a modicum of criticism; which happens easily to bitter angry people because they always look for excuses to be angry.
@retro2103 You didn't really read my comment. Did you youfkkn white simp, Why do you think millions of people are angry? Because they want to be? We just want to be left in peace, I used to enjoy multiculturalism but has become an ugly thing, You back patting white idiots will still be screaming "I WASN'T RACIST" as they cut off your head, Is it very multicultural where you live?
Elstree studios 😊. Where I still have letters from 1986 and 1987. When I received Grange Hill photos😊.
Back when we had real TV.
Losing Diana Rigg was a loss the series never recovered from.
They had That Thing wehen they were together.
Linda Thomson had the body .Diana Rigg the looks
Picking up his paper that morning must have been like a kick to the Nutz for Steed.
I was a little boy when the show aired. I was captivated by her.
Real friends fence in the living room...!!!🤣⚔😂
Did she ever meet Purdy
I need pt 3 etc etc...please.
That was interesting touch to show us why Stead and Mrs Peel has such good chemistry. He similar to her Husband.😁😍
People don't write dialogue like this anymore. So good.
The balding guy looks like Biden
Every time I see I get so SAD.
as a 4th grader Emma Peel was the most beautiful thing on tv
I just saw the titles on another video and thought I'd check it out. I'm old enough to recognise most of the names in this. A couple of the cast also appeared in the movie Get Carter.
Modern shows n films dont have it. Its like watching the Gary Cooper film MR DEEDS GOES TO TOWN ONE OF THE GREAT FRANK CAPRA WITH THE GREATEST GARY COOPER and the remake with Adam Sandler entitled Deeds a veritable waste of electricity. Like comparing a Novel the former to a comic book the latter.
Mom would be at Grandmothers for 2 hours n Dad would be at the bar for 4. N i alone with the Avengers watching Mrs Peel became a man at age 13 and 14 the only good part of high school. Youd have to be a man to understand.
She was perfect in so msny ways
Emma Peel was cardinal. BOTTES DE CUIR was her nickname, in the title of the show, in French.
Knowing the series under the name of "Chapeau Melon & Bottes de Cuir" gives another vibe to it ngl.
@@bunnydrwho Indeed...
@@ysengrimus After all, I've grown up with that title.
Like the Bond reference: "pussy footing along those sun soaked shores."
kzread.info/dash/bejne/i3-ultSae7m0ZZM.html really nice rock cover of the theme song by The Prisoners here !
