🥢Authentic Chinese recipes from our family to yours!🥢
My name is Randy Lau, and my dad, Chung Sun Lau, has been cooking Chinese food for over 50 years - as a teenager fending for himself in Guangzhou, as the head chef of his own restaurant in New York, and as a loving father in our home. And now that he is retired, I’ve made it my mission to share the hundreds of Chinese recipes and life stories stowed away in his head. Visit madewithlau.com for all of our recipes and blog posts!
My dad was born & raised in Guangzhou, China, before eventually leaving his life behind and immigrating to New York in 1981, in pursuit of a better life for his future family. Following his father's footsteps, he opened a successful Chinese restaurant of his own a few years later.

The most simple step by step easy quick recipes authentic Asian Cantonese inspired recipe made with Lau recipes on the planet. Thank you so much for everything you do to educate us to this fabulous food world. Love you so much and your beautiful family.
Very cute
Thanks Daddy Lau! From big bear ca
I often think how amazing it is that for all the cultures in the US, the mainstream who have been here for generations don't understand how flavorful some ingredients are when blended with others. One of my favorite Dutch dishes has vinegar and cloves in it, which sometimes gets me an odd look from Americans who have forgotten their ethnic origins. Another one is black pepper, which various European countries use in baking.
Randy, unless your parents were born here you are first generation. I'm a firsty too, and even though my parents became naturalized citizens, they weren't born here, so I am 1st gen American.
I love this guy.
You are blessed to have your father and beautiful family 🙏🏽.
Tomato and Egg Recipe Ingredients - 4 tomatoes - 4 eggs - 4 slices ginger - 1 Tbsp corn starch (for slurry) - 4 Tbsp water (for slurry) - 2 Tbsp oil - 3 Tbsp water Seasonings - ½ tsp salt (eggs) - ½ tsp salt (stir fry) - 2 Tbsp brown sugar - 2 Tbsp ketchup Steps - Cut tomatoes into pieces. Cut them at an angle, so they don’t fall apart as easily. - Cut ginger into long, thin strips - Crack the eggs into a bowl - Add salt to eggs and mix - Make corn starch slurry: 1 Tbsp corn starch + 4 Tbsp water - Heat pan until hot, not smoking, and add 1 Tbsp oil - Cook the eggs until it’s mostly cooked (30-40 sec) - Set aside the eggs - Add oil - Add ginger and tomatoes - After frying for 30 sec, add a little water - Add a little salt - Add brown sugar - After 2.5 min of cooking, add corn starch slurry - Cook 30 sec, and add eggs back in - Turn off the heat - Add ketchup (removes raw tomato taste)
I LOVE 99 Ranch Market!!!
You guys, I have to drop some love to your family! I’m watching from Mexico, and I made Pop’s Congee, and it cooked like a dream!!! He gave such great tips, esp about the not stiring and being patient. The only mod was that I usex Soy Chunks instead of chicken to make it vegan. It’s now one of my family’s fav to eat! My son and husband love it! Plz tell your Pops we said THANK YOU! And thank you guys for putting together such a great video! Much Love 💓💯✨✨✨✨

Why this recipe’s sauce is different from the earlier versions? For example, this one does use oyster sauce and brown sugar? and also added black pepper powder?
You should definitely mention this recipe on khal as it would be loved by a lot of people, so don't forget to add it
Have you guys tried Sou Vide Char Siu?
My kids are in a Chinese immersion program, I'm going to have to make them listen to this so they can hear something different!
Can share what type of bean sauce was used? The ingredients list provided did not specify. There are quite a few types of bean sauce used in Chinese-cooking, e.g. black bean, fermented bean. etc.
He just expressed all his experience into this video great one 👍
great recipe. In a chinese cafe, we order curry beef stew. Maybe that can be on video soon ( if not already done already) :)
Thank you so much! I love this and I make it all the time thanks to you🥰❤️
I made this outstanding dish today. I was blown away by how simple and easy it was to make. There were no leftovers because my kids ate every bite! Thank you so very much!

Sometimes, I just watch your videos and only watch your dad's world-class knife skills. It is a real treat every time to watch a past-master work with the most important tool in the kitchen. Thank and may y'all live another 99,999 years.
Your dad ????

Place another cover over the fish and the plate wouldn't collect the steam water.
Love this!! He makes it look so easy. But it's not for someone like me, but I want to try😮. Note to self ... buy a wok😊
I agree, in my personal opinion also i love Daddy Lau's cooking skills I can tell you it's 100% genuine. However, those questions like " how do you make sure all the ingredients are mixed together?" Eh? So silly, you just mix!
Talk too much n all fry noodles recipe r the same so u add a lot of uncessary talking
I like this gramps way of cooking. No bullshit, no fluff, jus pure art. Others chefs on yt tend to derail from the main show, and i get it. Everyone's gotta do what they can for the bills. So yeah, gramps gets a 10/10 from me for being very real with it.
Made this for the family today. They left absolutely no leftovers. 10/10 recipe🔥🔥🔥
this is the second time Ive watched your daddy cook...he does it soo tidely and eloquent...lovely gentleman....
