    I actually think the bare stem is really cool on that monstera. Its a really nice shape and different from what you typically see

    Hey, i wonder, how do you ship the big and small plants? Like do you use a box that protects them during the transit or how... how, thank you!!!

    I'm utterly fascinated by the beauty of these rare plants! I've got 3 Thai Constellations that I grew from tissue culture - what a journey! As an artist on a budget, I can't always afford the real thing, so I've started creating realistic versions of any rare or expensive plant I like, without breaking the bank. haha

    This video inspired me to rescue my neighbour’s monstera as a fun experiment. It had dropped all its leaves due to neglect and wasn’t in the best state. I brought it home, cut up the stems for wet stick props and repotted the remaining bare stem in a smaller pot. Thank you so much for such a fun and amazing video!! Wish me luck with my rescue🧿🪴

    Great job on the win Kristina! But I really want to know, what happened when the monstera outgrew the wood? Did you cut it back? I also just want to know in case I try doing something like this. But once again, great job and plant!

    Thank you Jake, I didn't have to cut it back yet, but it has reached the top by now. I will 100% make a video about cutting it back. I'm a little scared about the roots that have attached themselves to the bark 😅

    I just took a 2m PVC pipe for my last one, wrapped it in burlap and called it a day. I don't water it or anything, and my Golden Pothos takes it quite well. It's almost reached the top and the topmost leaves are about 25ish cm long. Will try 3d printing one now, though. I'm thinking of combining the 3d print with a thinner pvc pipe inside, mainly for stability, because I want it to reach 2m again as well. Not entirely sure what to fill it with yet. Not a fan of sphagnum moss. Maybe something non-organic might work, such as pumice or expanded clay. I want it to be able to hold some moisture but I don't want it to be able to rot, if that makes sense.

    Hello kristina❤❤. Can you tell me please do you use compost in your soil mix? I find everything what you use in your mix, but I could not find worm castings. Can I use compost of this?

  • @LeafyLuster
    @LeafyLuster22 күн бұрын

    Hi Diana, I don't, but I don't see anything wrong with using compost. It's just a way of prefertilizing the soil a little. Use what you have, sometimes I also add those osmocote long term fertilizer pearls.

    The soltech lights really are incredible. The price is worth it if you’ve got demanding plants. To build the same light output by buying leds and connecting them to a heat sink and driver is actually not all that much cheaper. And it would look like garbage without a lot of work. I’d do a DIY light for a grow tent, but certainly not my living room.

  • @LeafyLuster
    @LeafyLuster22 күн бұрын

    That's a good point Steve. I Agree, you put it quite well. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I also started out with cheap led bars from the hardwearstore because I wanted to save money, back in the day. I've tried lots of Amazon lighting and It's definetly not all bad, but most of it isn't pretty or very functional at all.

    id love to sell plants but i just dont see how clones of plants that you can get at the grocery down the street are going to interest anyone. and if im going to buy some rare plant online i feel like potential customers would just also go and buy that plant online. i just made about 10 wandering jew clones but i cant see why anyone woild want them when you can get a much bigger plant at any store for like 5 bucks.
