    Hi everyone 💚 got the Anthurium fever now? Try growing them from seed: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ep9mw9mxpbKbeco.html I encourage you to try it out. I know Anthurium can be quite expensive but most of them can deal with our home conditions pretty well and seeds are more affordable! What is your experience with Anthurium and can you second my thoughts on their needs? Drop a comment and maybe share your average humidity with us...thaaaank you!

    I love this video! I have 3 anthurium and keep them in living room conditions. I personally don’t see the joy in growing plants that can only survive in grow tents or greenhouse cabinets.

    Also got my Veichii and Waroqueanum in living room conditions. Purchased them from a lady that kept them in ikea greenhouse and they are doing fine here in 35-55 humidity depending on outside weather, and both have put out 2 new leaves since they arrived 😁

    That sounds absolutely amazing Kathy! I bet they look beautiful, I feel llike new leaves on Anthuriums are just so special. Like I'm aways happy for every new leaf on any plant but Anthuriums are something else. It's good to hear you also keep yours in lower humidity, I'm sure they love it in greenhouses but it's good to know that you don't necessarily need them to grow nice Anthurium :) Thank you for being here & sharing your experience, see u in the next one 💚

    @@ronjakh to be honest Ronnie I don’t know, I’ve got all my anthuriums in the living room others are doing ok too. Just got them in a chunky mix with moss around the top which I try to keep moist all the time. Other than that 🤷🏻‍♀️ just love anthuriums and they will always try and survive so hopefully they will continue to do so 🤞

    Hi Kristina :)....Just love your beauties! My best growers in normal conditions are my Besseae (13" leaves) and my dark form forgettii, and my luxurians × radicans....My King is struggling with one tiny leaf.....and my vita.....but they are still alive....I will have to go back and watch your care video for your queen....I did get one healthy new leaf....it is curling a bit....but no spots on it.....and I have never repotted my clair.....it could be doing better!....so I am going back to see your tips! Beautiful video....yes love anthurium too and would like to get the silver blush! Ok look forward to seeing those little ones grow! Love tina

    Oh my gosh can I call you Tina? That's such a cute shortform. It seems you have quite the collection of Anthurium going yourself. That sounds amazing, thank you for sharing the ones that grow well & also the ones that are a little more difficult. No shame in that. My Crystallinum suddenly started to get yellow spots all over the leaves. I think I might have overwatered so I need to check the roots soon and propagate. I fear it's going to get worse. Plants are always a journey. See you soon Tina :)

    This is a great video and gorgeous plants. I appreciate you telling us what the humidity is like in your home because i definitely cannot leave mine is my living room as my humidity can get as low as 10% in winter 😅 i always wondered how people leave a queen out. But it all depends in the country you live in i guess.

  • @LeafyLuster

    @LeafyLuster

    Жыл бұрын

    Yeah, you are so right Pamela, that's why I included it. Humidity can vary so much and it is one of the most critical conditions when it comes to plant care. Not only the country but also the type of house you live in has great differences. I know people who live in quite new buildings and they have so many issues with dry air because of all the regulations regarding air conditioning & how houses need to be build. I can imagine it's much more difficult to keep plants in that environment. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts on this. See u in the next one 💚.

    The only Anthurium that didn't like my room (40%)or the grennhouse cabinet(70%) was the Queen, 3 of them😅now they are stumps or being propagated. Once they get to 3 leaves i will try moving one to living room humidity again. Veitchii, Luxurians, Forgetii are doing ok in the room. Clarinervium and Pallidiflorum are very easy going and i think the Cirinoi Velvet too(i don't have it for a very long time but the newest leaf got out without a scratch) I have one Besseae that ripped the leaf in the Rudsta, and ripped the second leaf in the room . I am curious what happeneds next. My second Besseae is doing just well in the cabinet. Lastly i have a medium Regale that lives in the greenhouse cabinet, it is putting leaf after leaf so i am not going to disturb it. Since they get quite big, sooner or later it will have to move out anyway.

    Funny how experiences can vary but then again there are probably tons of slightly different Queens out there. I'm crossing my fingers you can get the Queens to a place where they are ok in your conditions again, best of luck with that! 🤞🤞 It's good to hear you have similar experiences with the other ones though. The only surprise for me is the Luxurians, I always thought it looks like it would be a diva 😅 Good to know it's not. Really curious about your Regale, that's a plant I'd love to have but am also still a little afraid to get ^^

    I am growing a few Anthurium seeds that i bought in packs of 2, once the get to a decent size i plan to put one in my cabinet and one in the room. Seeds have diferent genetics so the results will not be perfect but i am very curious what will happen. I imagine that the seedlings that will get earlier used to room humidity will adapt to the conditions and become easy going plants. That or death, one of them 🤣
