We need a government that Invests in farming for strategic food production and expanding organic/local production. Also for climate change. Not free market bollox and Australia/NZ. If food gets scarce or there are wars or crises, Government will ban food exports so it has to be supplied domestically somewhere else because hungry people in cities riot after 5 days of food shortages and overturn governments.

There is a mini series screaming out to be made. `Jeremy and Kaleb visit Paris for the Salon International de l'Agriculture`. Jeremy's inability to deal with French. Kaleb in another country but in his World sort of. Fly them by helicopter to Issy. Only needs one overnight in Paris for Kaleb.

I am horrified by the way the council have done everything they can do ruin the farm and the only reasons I can see is personal gain for them. It concerns me that all farmers face this prejudice for trying to make their businesses work. At the end of the day they are the people that feed us grrrr

Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your natter with Georgie Ainslie. Two Alpha Females going at it for an hour. Great stuff and I learnt so much from what the two of you had to say and, just as importantly, the way you said it. Coming from two intelligent, articulate women (females, ladies, girls) both of whom have raised families while holding down demanding, time-consuming jobs, I found it all most inspiring. One suggestion: another good way to slip in a helpful keep-fit exercise early in the a.m. is always a quickie with your mate before you grab your toothbrush to start the day. Works wonders!

The irony of a Bentley owning Londoner acquiring farmland pushing up rural land prices, seemed to go right over Kaleb's head. His dream of owning land gets further diluted by more and more interlopers buying a country pad. Famously one celebrity moved to the country and contacted the local paper to complain about the smells and the sound of gunshots on the adjoining working farms! 😂
