  GameStop has $4 Billion in cash and has been consistently cutting costs to improve margins. It has a CEO who is taking $0 in compensation as he turns the company around. Calling it a scam without doing research is a bad look

  @hartley163 Here's the research: Before the mid May's pump even happened there was a lot of call option positioning which lifted the shares. It went up from $11 a share to $16 before the infamous meme. The algorithms picked this up and then set a price to where they think the market is heading. Then before you know it retail investors start rushing in. While GME is still is on an upward trend it peaked and crashed twice in the past month. $48 down to $19 in a few days.

  @@ShadeZahrai But you're calling it a pump and dump despite it being up 26% in a month, 97% in 3 months, and 60% YTD. Yes, people rush in to stock investments without doing their research and lose money trying to time the market. That's fine for you to address that since most investors shouldn't be trying to time the stock market. But singling out Gamestop as a "pump and dump" despite it having sound fundamentals behind the new CEO and board is just absurd.

  @hartley163 it's important to discern between a company's operations versus its stock value being manipulated. GameStop is a business that has struggled with being profitable and has raised $4 billion. It's fine that this meets your criteria of strong fundamentals. I prefer businesses that are also consistently profitable and demonstrate solid potential for long term growth. However, this has nothing to do with the point of this video. GameStop's stock value was heavily influenced (not by GameStop) resulting in pump and dumps recently and in 2021. Many retails investors got caught out by the hype while inadvertently helping institutional investors / influential manipulators profit. So the key point is to alert people to pay attention to the fundamentals - like you do.

  @@ShadeZahrai Company operations like Gamestop cutting operational costs YoY the past few years to drastically improve margins? Or company operations like partnering with more outside companies to bring better products to their customers? Or how about the company getting rid of all debt and obtaining a cash balance of $4 Billion to make further investments into the development of the company or possibly a future acquisition? The issue here is that you painted Gamestop in a negative light by calling it a pump and dump without providing any additional context. Not to mention using an unappealing picture with the logo.

  @@ShadeZahrai Weak fundamentals? They've successfully raised 4B in cash and especially 0$ in debt and a strong investor presence. They only missing key is them strengthening their business model which we could finally see in their shareholder meeting. There's no guarantee so we'll have to wait and see.
