I love tools, both new and vintage, gadgets and knives. I spend a lot of time searching for, and purchasing, interesting tools and other gear online and and car boot sale or where ever I am at the time. I also enjoy renovating vintage tools too. I had mine for years and still use it.
"Sentry goin' up!"
Hard to kill the old Vise Grips. I have a few of them in various conditions. Still use them occasionally too.
I've just bought one of these to see what early digital was like. It is certainly dated in many ways but not as unusable as you might think. It will probably spend most of its time on a shelf, but will get used from time to time even though I have 'better' cameras to use most of the time.
I have the same model in grey. I also used to have the 8kg version of the Hotpoint you had before your last one
I have an identical Super Zenith brand of binoculars but specifications being 12 x 50, Field 5⁰. Maybe at least 40 to 45 years old.
One of the best tool in the box 🍺🍺👍👍
The nail might have been something that the guy was intending to hammer into a hole made by the auger bit but probably didn’t need it and figured that he could just let it sit in the handle
look forward to full videos on a couple of those
I wonder if you buff them up and then clean with denatured alcohol and then put them in a tank with nickel electrolysis if it would make them rust proof and pretty?
I bet it cleans up nice and works well
I am currently in the process of cleaning it and have got it running. Thanks for watching 👍
that squeak will get that snipers attention...
Cool I never knew the size was on them 10R thanks
The R stands for Release, the lock release lever. Thanks for watching 👍
Fantastic tool and make 👍👍
I think the Pexto and the Vice Grips would be my favorites from that lot, followed by the Yankee driver
That would be great for self defense!
Carbide bur bits work well for that kind of stuff too
You like same stuff as me! I have all them apart from the adjustable! Respect
What's the brand/model# for the tiny ones in the background and how long r they?
The pliers in the background are 3" long but are toys pliers, I couldn't resist picking them up at the car boot sale for £0.20 😁 Thanks for watching 👍👍
I have
Many years ago I found a Snap-on 1/2" drive breakover handle in a resale shop. It was marked $1.25. I grabbed it up pretty quick.
I've just bought a new pair for £15 tonight but I've got a 9" pair I've had for 15+yrs and still going strong
Very interesting vid. I have just come into possession of a No.1 and hadn't realised the history of these. I've watched your vid and am trying to date mine. the adjuster has the three grooves but doesn't have the piece inside that would retain a spring. on the front you can see N0.1, the bulldog with 'king dick' beneath it, 'trade' to the left and 'mark' to the right then near the jaw it has 'steel'. Turning it over it has 'abingdon' on the top jaw and the bulldog and king dick on the lower jaw. When you wind it out, on the back of the shaft it has 'c 18' stamped into it. The handle part has the same more curved profile as your oldest one but where the back of the jaws on yours has an overhang, mine are flush. I love it, its very tactile and just carry it about like a fidget spinner winding it in and out. Any idea of a rough date for it?
Mrs R won't be happy you displayed her chalky taps. The next tool you will need will be the first aid kit LOL
thas pretty cool
They look great them pal
Why would we care about your taps
Why would we care about your gay profile picture and channel
Wow the water there is very hard. It probably destroys water heaters and dish washers and clothes washers pretty rapidly.
Will clean up nicely. Which are your favourite boot sales?
It is a lovely tap wrench
That isn’t done yet?
Glad to hear Mrs R is keeping you out of mischief Nash !
That Elliot Lucas pliers is great
Was this video asked for En Masse?
I think I might use it as a coffee mug 😂
Nice finished tool there . I wasnt overly impressed with the ultra sonic cleaners performance to be honest, and this is no way aimed at you personally. Ive toyed with buying one for a while and im betting your works one wasnt cheap and classed as a professional model but after 4 hours id have been disappointed. 30 minutes with some cleaner and a good brush youd have achieved the same result.
Using the ultrasonic cleaning tank is a very good way of shifting decades of oily and greasy build up on tools, I give them a wipe every hour. Tools get very hot in the tank and are difficult to handle and it can free stiff joints on pliers too. Thanks for watching and leaving your comment 👍👍👍
I got a 17mm in a set of about 40 brit tool and other makes i had the same reaction i cant stop holding it feels so tactile in the hand
I have clips everywhere. They come in very handy.
Most of the places very inconvenient to use
Its Useless
That's cool, never seen that one!
Nice find. Shame it is the B version. If it has an A rather than a B embossed on the back then it’s a quick bit of soldering to upgrade the software.
Live it. Never seen one. I have a rolls razor. Still getting used to it.
Just found your channel via tool addict, gonna be fun working through your back catalogue of videos, being a long term tool collector its right up my ally !!!! Keep up the good work !!
Welcome to the channel 👍
Nice find👍 I've never seen any of those Gedores in the flesh but always on the look out. I picked up the exact set of the button pattern pliers in Pembrokeshire a few weeks back.
Can you adjust the tension with the screw at the bottom?
I am still experimenting with the adjustment of the grub screw but it does have some bearing on how the pliers work. I can find no instructions for these old pliers so I'm not really sure what the screw is there for. Sorry for being so vague. Thanks for watching 👍
That's a cool design!
Great video Nash thanks for sharing your time and thoughts 🍺🍺👍👍
The handle side jaw reminds me of the whale mouth jaw of the big one I sent you. But a mini mouth
So cool looking!
