It is the battle of the barbed wire cutters today and I have three pairs to test.
I have a set of American cutters from 1944, an unknown vintage pair of Fage Ironside cutters and my favourite pair of folding UK government issue marked with a broad arrow.
I found the Fage Ironside cutters the hardest to use due to the short length. The HKP 1944 US issue cutters were surprisingly easy to cut with.
I found the British folding cutters required a little more effort than I expected! 😳🤔 Maybe the jaws are slightly worn?
I had a lot of fun cutting barbed wire this morning and may have a go with my collection of fencing pliers soon. 👍
