Perfect, just picking up my Zoe today, now I know all about it :D
Took out £25 from my bank and I never even got to charge it
Quite simply the worst EV in History. No regen, basic outdated and pathetic range, horrible in winter and battery depletes at an alarming rate. AVOID. Needs at least 10 hours to charge.
110 miles? That’s a total lie.
Thank you sir, its very useful, bless you.
So helpful. I need to look at this all again... and again... Have subscribed. Cheers mate
What is an rfid card?
£13k in 2024 ,
It's even cheaper than that. I found one fully electric transporter 12k inc vat. In addition, I have been told that the battery in these vans needs to be changed every 4 years, and it costs £10-15k.
@@Citizen-vv1yx Why does the battery need changing ?
@antoniopalmero4063 I suppose it's like the phone battery it gets weaker as it gets older, so you get less mileage. In that case, you either spend a lot of time recharging it or you get a new battery to give you the same mileage as the original.
@@Citizen-vv1yx in 5 years time batteries will be much cheaper and these vans will be easy to upgrade .
@antoniopalmero4063 some research from reliable sources is needed to ascertain how much it would cost to replace the battery
More like 55 to 60 mile range Second hand sales of these are shocking
Pretty sure the 2 doesn't have a heat pump?
I think you missed to explain how do you when you charging ?
How do you save your backs ups ? During planning, with Zapmap, can you select your own route, not use the suggested one ? Thanks for the video. My first attempt at charging at Tesco Pod Point failed ! Cheers
How can I tell the Leaf to only charge up to 80%, then stop charging automatically (I’ll be fast asleep when it reaches 80 and don’t want to wake up to find it at 100%!). Thanks!
I've had the "Evalia" version (the techna in Europe) of the 5 seat version 24kwh for just over two years now. Excellent EV in terms of versatility, from people carrier to camper and cargo hauler. Never had a problem with it, so it seems well made, and the running costs in terms of road tax and "fuel", have saved me around £5000 compared to running an ICE car over the same time. Mine is 9 years old with 48000 Kms on the clock and the battery is still at full capacity (all the bars present) with a reported 120-130km range after a full charge. This is my first EV and I'm impressed. These use the LFP battery chemistry, which is the safest.
Thank you. I didn't want to force anything. Battery now changed.
they're actually the same motor and you can code the I3 to have sports mode for that power increase
Not the same thing, the S has an improved chassis with larger wheel arches.
@@PierreDybman I know it's lower and wider but you sure it has a different chassis?
If a middle aged man says it’s cool. I can assure you, it’s not! 😅
Thankyou so much, I agree flathead screwdriver works the best almost broke my key fob listening to another person saying to use the actual key itself
The best offset for battery degradation over long time periods is the improving efficiency of tires designed for EVs. The best new EV tires today can add 10% range compared to the tire technology of 2011, when the Leaf was introduced.
Awesome video! And also, what a complicated car!!
So I am one for a sporty car and this may not make much sense to you, but I’m currently torn between an i3s and a Porsche Taycan cross Turismo. Present we own a standard i3 with range extender, and contrary to your recommendation, our range extender has saved us many times. That said your comments around this option have caused me to think again. Turning to the Porsche Taycan, yes it’s a much much bigger car but they have dropped so much value that it’s a bargain buy. We live in Italy and have solar panels and a charging point at home. Our standard i3 looks lovely and consistently turns heads and triggers discussions amongst public onlookers ♥️🇮🇹
Thanks! I got the key out, but couldn't figure the battery cover!
Great quick demonstration. Had my own key sorted within minutes thanks to your help. Much appreciated you taking the time to make and upload.
Very helpful video, thank you!
Great send more info on how to use zap map please🎉
Great video thank you very much!
I used tesco 22kw chargers on my Renault megane 60kw EV no point fast charging it it only takes 3 hours to fully charge and it cost me nothing I went from west Yorkshire to Alfreton charged up a bit then went on to Newbury fully charged before heading into Hampshire 500 mile round trip and cost nothing 27 hours but it was so relaxing
I have the zen 1 acenta and very happy with it. 2013 till date, 11bars and 82% SOH. Japan made 12/12 and very satisfied
How to turn on the 360 Camera, I only see the back one. Thank you
I’ve just bought a Leaf and will defo not use 90% of this stuff. I get into the car and drive from A to B whilst listening to the radio. Pity there are no settings for making a cheese toasty.
We got the Zoe 52kwh and we are not entirely sure how we feel about it. It got long range but the 22kw type 2 charging feels dated. After the fact it would've been better with a 40-45kwh battery with DC fast charging like in the MG zs or Nissan leaf.
Nice car
How do you know if it’s type A or B? Never charged yet, I know little
Merci
Hand. Brake ???
Yes, manually operated between the seats.
Thank you that sounds like excellent advice
Good video. Thanks. We’ve just got a Mercedes EV loan car and now working out how to charge it a a fast charge station and where they are. Such a shame that the manufacturers couldn’t get their act together and agree on a single standard plug. Needless to say, as much as I’m enjoying the Merc, the range is still poor in Evs for the long distance commute my wife and I do.
very helpful, thank you
Zap map advert 😢
Dose this car have app to turn on climate control from home
need 60 kwh battery and fast charging
Brilliant, what a lovely fella. We are picking our new id3 up on Saturday and this was a great intro to what we can expect. Thank you
Did he just say u git to wait 30 mins to travel 30 mile
Great video! Just a quick tip: I presume you also have a video explaining how to actually drive the car, maybe put that in the description of the video? Just so peeps like me who found this video first can quickly go to the 'first in series' vid and then go back to watch this more detailed one!
Looking at a plug in hybrid as at the minute looks to much messing around unhitching and charging and hitching the caravan back up afterwards. Hopefully things will improve in time
Great video full of great ideas. Well done Drive Green, Richard and team. Keep it up! David
Shame you can see where to put the screwdriver.
Why isn't there more info this good out there? Massively overwhelmed with facing all this for the first time, thank you for such a great video. Actually bought a car from you guys recently and searching for info brought me back to you! Keep up the good work.
This car is awesome I really hope they bring this back as the i2 as I suspect one reason they discontinued it was to make an electric 3 series some day
They make the i4 which is more traditional. I suspect that manufacturing cost and sticker price were too high to compete with more affordable and longer range selections currently available. Given all of that I just bought a very low mileage i3S 2 weeks ago and I have NO regrets .
they are comming with the "neue classe" with a lot looking back to i3 and 2002 think it will be in 2026
I3 can be charged with ac and DC ? How is the range for 100% full battery?
