My name is William Mulligan and I run the KZread channel EveryDayStoic. Stoicism for everyday people. I believe is for everyone, not Just a select few. Visit us today TheEveryDayStoicism.com
Physicist Sean Carroll: “Our world is not deterministic because of quantum mechanics. That’s just clearly true. In the actual world of our experiences quantum mechanics says no it’s just not. You have to deal with that.” Sapolsky continues to propagate the false idea that the sum of past events dictates all future events. This is simply not true. Podcast hosts who have Sapolsky on as a guest continue to let him get away with this falsehood. When choosing between Job A and Job B, it was NOT determined from the time of the big bang that you were going to choose Job A over Job B because, unlike the Newtonian view of the universe, the universe is intrinsically indeterministic. When Sapolsky says, "It's antecedent causes all the way down" he is simply wrong. That Newtonian view of causality was debunked almost 100 years ago.

Great wisdom and it takes 100% mindfulness 100% of our time! Thanks for sharing. Stoicism does work and even better when one is a student of buddhism. Many blessings for your upload.
I really needed this this morning. Thank you for this video.

I have had many challenges this past year from divorce getting sober and realizing I don't like the man I am now. Stoicism is the only that has pulled me through this so far so I need (also want) to get better and learn more. Thank you for what you do.

I Just got done watching the movie The Holdovers and the History Teachers gave the student a copy of this book as a Christmas gift and told him its the greatest book you will ever read. They even showed the man had a box full of copies. Great feel good movie but seeing that book made me love the movie even more.

Greetings from Belgium. For me the best way to read the Meditations was/is a paragraph a day and think about what Marcus was/is saying. For me the first book is about gratitude - but I can be wrong.
