======================================================
My name is William Mulligan AKA The Everyday Stoic, I applied Stoicism in my life and went from being anxious and feeling like a victim to becoming a confident and happy man. I am 1/3 of the Mulligan Brothers and my goal is to inspire change through teaching Stoicism to the everyday person.
I will give you an easy, practical guide to understanding Stoicism and how to use it in your life.
On this channel I answer the questions of "What is Stoicism?", "Who was Marcus Aurelius?", "How to be a stoic?" or "How to practice stoicism in daily life?" Check out my channel to learn how to be happier, stronger and more confident.
Two thousand years ago, the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius wrote his personal thoughts in a journal now known as the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius. Many of these Stoic principles have be learned from the Meditations but also from Epictetus, Seneca, Zeno and many more of the Ancient Stoic philosophers.
I get asked a lot what
1. Stoic books to read
2. if you can be religious and Stoic
3. can woman/girls be stoic
4. is stoicism bad
5. is stoicism toxic
6. can stoicism help anxiety or depression
1. Enchiridion of Epictetus, meditations of Marcus Aurelius, Seneca letters on ethics
2. You can be religious and Stoic
3. Woman/girls can be stoic
4. Stoicism is not bad. Vice alone is bad.
5. Stoicism understood correctly is not toxic
6. Stoicism can help depression and anxiety.

Wonderful presentation. Indeed, philosophy is the salvation of man. Meditating on the words of Buddha also lifts man from the mire of wrong thought. From the Dhammapa: Like a wheel that follows the ox that pulls the cart; so suffering follows the man of wrong thought. What we are today comes from the perspectives and points of view we held yesterday. He hit me. He hurt me. He offended me. None that have such thoughts are free from hate(pain). Hate is not conquered by hate. Hate is conquered by love(Stoic Acceptance). That is law eternal! In other words, our life’s experiences happen for us rather than to or against us.

Always good to listen to you William. My goal is to finishing writing a book I've been slowly working on. It's a collection of short stories, anecdotes and observations about my thoughts and experiences of people, animals, places and siruations that I hope will both entertain and inspire others to grow. Big cyber hug to you, from your friend across the pond, Johnny

Anxiety is a nightmare for me. Working through it. Thank you!❤ omgosh. I've been running from pain. It was my sister's suicide by fire. I'm off grid trying to make sense of it all. I also didn't know there was real live evil in the world. I'm glad you're bringing all of this up.

I did this, too. None of you would have associated with me being the person who I was before, I'm almost certain of it. *I wouldn't associate with the person I was before...* A clean, nutrient dense diet and at least raising my heart rate daily was imperative in supporting this change.

I didn't know your book was formally published vs self-published. I've written five novels that I self-published, but because they suck I didn't try to get them formally published. I now have even more respect for you and what you do. Anyway, Congratulations 🎉
