My name is William Mulligan AKA The Everyday Stoic, I applied Stoicism in my life and went from being anxious and feeling like a victim to becoming a confident and happy man. I am 1/3 of the Mulligan Brothers and my goal is to inspire change through teaching Stoicism to the everyday person.
I will give you an easy, practical guide to understanding Stoicism and how to use it in your life.
On this channel I answer the questions of "What is Stoicism?", "Who was Marcus Aurelius?", "How to be a stoic?" or "How to practice stoicism in daily life?" Check out my channel to learn how to be happier, stronger and more confident.
Two thousand years ago, the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius wrote his personal thoughts in a journal now known as the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius. Many of these Stoic principles have be learned from the Meditations but also from Epictetus, Seneca, Zeno and many more of the Ancient Stoic philosophers.
I get asked a lot what
1. Stoic books to read
2. if you can be religious and Stoic
3. can woman/girls be stoic
4. is stoicism bad
5. is stoicism toxic
6. can stoicism help anxiety or depression
1. Enchiridion of Epictetus, meditations of Marcus Aurelius, Seneca letters on ethics
2. You can be religious and Stoic
3. Woman/girls can be stoic
4. Stoicism is not bad. Vice alone is bad.
5. Stoicism understood correctly is not toxic
6. Stoicism can help depression and anxiety.

Great content, I'll like to some more in Musonius Rufus like: "If we were to measure what is good by how much pleasure it brings, nothing would be better than." self-control if we were to measure what is to be avoided by its pain, nothing would be more painful than lack of self-control"

🙏🍀 I am glad for all imput/knowleadge and lessons i learned about stoicism so far on KZread. Thank you for sharing your Stoic Videos it is always gret to see young people learbing to be as a stoics once were. Some of examples what have been said from Mr. Michael in this Video i heard from Ryan's Holiday Videos. Maybe it is too soon, because i am only in the middle of the Video, but i would like to hear/mentioned Ryan's Name, when mentioned his book title. But maybe it is just my opinion (no need to take it serious) , and maybe later in Video is he mentioned it, or was in between, but so far i am listenning this video in backround i do other stuff (so maybe i only didnt hear it) , i didnt hear it. It just came to my ears many times same examples almost like using same examples what comes at first was wondering to me, but i understand that great sayings will be repeated and the point is to spread the knowleadge, so it is ok too. I just thought maybe, it is good to mentioned this/Ryan Holiday's name too. And thank you, you both for your Video and knowleadge. I appriciate it 🙏. Watching from Slovakia (sorry in advance for my english) i am still learning it, same as stoicism 🙋🏻‍♀️
