======================================================
My name is William Mulligan AKA The Everyday Stoic, I applied Stoicism in my life and went from being anxious and feeling like a victim to becoming a confident and happy man. I am 1/3 of the Mulligan Brothers and my goal is to inspire change through teaching Stoicism to the everyday person.
I will give you an easy, practical guide to understanding Stoicism and how to use it in your life.
On this channel I answer the questions of "What is Stoicism?", "Who was Marcus Aurelius?", "How to be a stoic?" or "How to practice stoicism in daily life?" Check out my channel to learn how to be happier, stronger and more confident.
Two thousand years ago, the Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius wrote his personal thoughts in a journal now known as the Meditations of Marcus Aurelius. Many of these Stoic principles have be learned from the Meditations but also from Epictetus, Seneca, Zeno and many more of the Ancient Stoic philosophers.
I get asked a lot what
1. Stoic books to read
2. if you can be religious and Stoic
3. can woman/girls be stoic
4. is stoicism bad
5. is stoicism toxic
6. can stoicism help anxiety or depression
1. Enchiridion of Epictetus, meditations of Marcus Aurelius, Seneca letters on ethics
2. You can be religious and Stoic
3. Woman/girls can be stoic
4. Stoicism is not bad. Vice alone is bad.
5. Stoicism understood correctly is not toxic
6. Stoicism can help depression and anxiety.

Of course. Life without meaning seems pointless. However, I think there is some benefit in just living for the sake of being alive. Great interview

What an excellent discussion on philosophy and Stocism in depth. Another study of honoring what is meant to be able to live and develop oneself. I am so fortunate to choose this first this morning. If our language is incorrect, then what said is not correct . If what is said is not what is meant with what ought to be done is left undone. If what ought to be done is left undone, then morals and art will deterteriate. If morals and art deteriorate, then justice will astray astray. If justice goes astray, people will stand about a helpless confusion as many are today. Subsequently, others are taking the right actions by putting actions in the now. All have their own journey to participate or not. Great suggestions and arguments and updates of what is correct about the stoics as they lived in a time of man's ideas began developing ethical principles. It is amazing to what is done evolving these philosopher writers to enhance ones life today. May I also thank you for yours, sir. You are gaining by teaching with a distinguished background with an education to merit your teaching to others, and that is giving back. Will always be a young man with a wonderful podcast of inspiration to learn about Stoicis. Greet death as living, and life is one. Be awake to the ups and downs of life. We are the roller coaster, as we ride up and down on the wheels of life. Ask oneself why we still elect the politicians we do? Belief systems divide cultures, religious divisions, wars, and breed chaos, fear, and violence. Why are societies still murdering one another after thousands of years? Dust and smoke smeers our faces with bombs and nuclear weapons, poison gasses. These are facts. We need a new education to build better societies for the betterment of humanity, new leadership to bloom, and not murder or hate. A general definition of civilization: a civilized society is exhibiting the fine qualities of truth , beauty, art, adventure, art, and peace. Philosopher, Alfred North Whitehead

@Everydaystoic Will, didn't you study with Professor Sugre, who recently passed away this past January? A philosophy and literature professor on KZread. I loved him immensely. I might be mistaken, I thought you had brought his name up once. I have my own library, my papa left me for I loved books starting at a very young age on many subjects. It would be a very long list to write all of them down. As for recent books, may I suggest Dr. Iian McGilchrist books, " The Master and His Emissary," The Divided Brain and the Making of the Western World, "The Matter With Things," Our Brains, Our Delusions and the Making of the World," two volumes, with lectures and discussions with others of various backgrounds and degrees. Dr. Iian McGilchrist is a psychiatrist, neuroscience researcher, philosopher, and literary scholar. He is a Ouondam Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford, an Associate Fellow of Green Templeton College, Oxford, a Fellow of the Royal of Psychiatrists and Clinical Director at the Bethlem Royal & Maudsley Hospital London. He lives on the "Isle of Sky," Scotland, and travels and gives lectures in many places. Another book is "The Redbook," Libra Novus edited, and with an Introduction by Sonu Shamdasani, C.J.Jung's writings with many updates now by Jungian analyst and writers. Thank you again!!! Will keep up your great work also!!

I have to disagree with the assumption that the universe is not a living thing. There are very strong arguments to the contrary.
