If you want open world? There are servers for that but if youre talking about battleroyale then there are plenty of other games you could play like fortnite, cod, pubg... but obviously you wont play it since it requires skills and responsiveness... which you are too old to have or develop

The thing is: when everyone is doing their mechanics right, something like this SHOULD NOT happen. WAR was not designed to be like this on purpose. You can only see this kind of shit when the rest of the party dies. The question is: is this really a design problem or a skill issue? I would say a bit of both.

As a former healer main, if this is what people want, SE should just remove healer classes and jobs altogether from FFXIV. I don't see why people should want to put the time and effort to play as a clearly unnecessary, unwanted and boring-to-play foil. If people want to solo bosses and content, there's no reason to keep FFXIV as an MMO either.

I like trusts they give you a chance to see unique character dyamics npc interactions with environment and most importantly read all those dungeon lore tidbits they leave lying around.

No one cares if you can solo the boss, it’s annoying watching people stroke there ego and solo things in group content after people slip up abit,it removes peoples learning experience ,just because you wanna show off but instead your party is eye rolling bored out there mind because you wanna look like billy bad ass. Its impressive yes but don’t do this mess if the boss is like pretty much full health and party slipped up once. Just wipe and clear it faster while learning the mechanics instead of sitting there for 40 minutes watching a tank solo a dungeon boss

I agree. All tanks should be able to solo all casual content without a healer. The healer should be there to fix mistakes, but otherwise not required to heal the tank. The reason healers have been gutted to only two DPS buttons is because people complained healer was too difficult since you had some DPS requirements on top of heals, now people are upset because tanks don't require heals and they are falling asleep at the wheel with the two buttons they asked for. If tanks can solo all casual content without a healer, we can look into adding a little more complexity to healer DPS. Alternatively just make pulls do more AoE damage that tanks can still deal with but the healer needs to heal the DPS so the mobs die faster.

Are trusts slow? Sure. Are they slower than the healer I had in Lv93 who died midway on all three bosses, essentially forcing us to reset, let tank die about four times on trash between bosses and made us all run the dungeon for full 40 minutes? No. Trusts get it done, people saying "SORRY, FIRST TIME ;--;" who still fail basic stuff don't get it done. People who want harder dungeons forget that they will be getting healers like this one in PF.

I'll usually wall if it's the first time wipe and its got 80% left but as a PLD I will spam clemency if even one DPS is alive cause ya know what now you are my ward and you bet your ass were taking the boss down. Doesn't matter if the others are dead. I will keep you standing no matter what. This is the ONLY time i get to use cover damn it, I'm making the most of it!!!
