The trusts get the job done for sure. And speaking as someone who maxed mine out in both ShB and EW, it does feel like they're not as slow and impotent in DT as they were in the previous two expansions. Are they faster than 3 competent players? Hell no. But it doesn't take any longer to clear a dungeon/trial with them as it does in certain DF groups.

As someone who did the story with Duty support for lore I'm almost certain they're significantly slower than most duty finder groups for one key reason: they don't seem to AOE. Aside from making trash significantly slower it can cause problems like the one shown in the video where the NPCs using single target attacks can take agro from a tank using aoe and then keep attacking that target as the tank moves forward. This will happen pretty consistently if the player tank doesn't adapt. Also they don't seem to cleanse paralysis, which sucks.

For me, the best part of DT trust/support system is that all trials are available with NPCs I tend to play at hours where it's mostly desert in my region, being able to queue with NPCs means I can progress at my pace without having to worry, meanwhile in EW I had multiple times where I was cut short from progressing the MSQ because nobody was queuing for the trials I needed at 4 am

They have to be slower than normal matchmaking runs otherwise people would spam the shit out of them to lvl up or stack tomes. I remember the squadrone bug where you could spam the squadron limitbreak and clear dungeons really really fast for good amount of exp. @@urg6923 I wasnt playing ffxiv the past 2 years but cant you just ''datacenter visit'' nowadays?

People say trusts are slow because they are. They are specifically designed to have their damage output scaled to complete a dungeon at a set pace. They are definitely viable and I leveled 80-90 in just a few hours, cuz screw those DT launch queue times lol, but the pace is noticeably slower compared to player groups.

Did this on DRK too, and trusts felt perfectly balanced for wall2wall pulling with NPC's. As long as you make sure you got aggro on everything, it goes smoothly. They really weren't that slow. I've had slower runs with real players than with the trusts.

Get an FC. The maximum i waited was 10 minutes. I also did the DLC with someone. So the whole time we were 2. Doing dungeons was filling quicker. We were 2 dps. THIS IS AN MMO. Stop soloing. Play with people.

​@@celuiquipeut6527my schedule is not reliable enough to play with other players regularly. This week I was able to play 11pm-4am, next week I'll be able to play 3PM-8pm etc. That said I can just queue as a tank cause somehow I'm at lvl 93 msq with 2 jobs at 96 and 3 at 91...

I think it’s because Wuk’s tank stance is always on regardless if. She’s DPSing or Tanking because she pulls aggro all the time.

Trusts do feel like they are going faster this expac, flat out. I'm not sure if it's cause Wuk (Warrior) is in tank slot or what, but I noticed DPS with trusts was higher the previous expacs...nothing to do with the skill issue, something changed and trash is going down faster. It could be some of the class changes, plus Krilie being picto that is letting them put out better damage.

The trusts don't actually have the same skills as players do, even when they're named the same. I don't know if they buffed them at some point in Endwalker or what but even before DT when I was researching Duty Support for leveling I could get consistent 21-22 minute runs in any SHB or EW dungeon as a DPS and this held true in DT. It's all in your (player's) hands, if you know the dungeon and press your buttons, you'll get through pretty fast. The only role where trusts feel ill advised is Healer because there's only so much you can contribute but even then... 24 minute runs where everything is predictable might win over a 36 minute long Worqor Zormor with people who got to level 93 and still don't know how any of their buttons work.

In DT they're particularly bad if you're running tank since Lion Girl's AI doesn't change from when she's the one tanking. She'll legit single target mobs off of you and fight you for threat the entire time. Also, Alisaie makes a better healer as a RDM than her brother does as a sage.

When I saw the queue times for DPS, I instantly knew I wasn't touching a single daily finder, beast quests on the other hand 👌.

This is actually peak fiction

The reason Trusts are so slow is because a majority of the time the other avatars will do single target spells and all focus down one enemy instead of using AoEs. The exception in my experience is Yshtola and occasionally Alisae (not including them being LB trigger happy)

There's a lot of new tanks since 7.0 launched and tbh, I like running with trusts more than other people lately unless I'm the one tanking. There's so many who just don't use CDs at all and for some reason it's always a DRK or occasionally, a GNB.

A lot of DRKs think they can just spam TBN and be fine. I'll admit switching mains from WAR to DRK this xpac was a bit of a wake up call. Especially on the expert dungeons.

@@1337penguinman Not only that, they did beef up the trash mobs and even the dungeon bosses quite a bit with the autoattack damage/frequency so you feel it even more when the DPS aren't killing them in time

Even though it had a hilarious mini-mald at the end, it didn't really disprove his initial point at all. AND he was on DRK, the one everyone says sucks so much because it doesn't self sustain as well.

You can't really do it in trusts since the healer won't ever let you die, but I've found the trick to DRK in dungeons at least for me is making liberal use of Living Dead. Kitchen sink the first pull, TBN and LD on the second, and all your CDs should be back up to deal with any boss busters that TBN won't handle.

Can run two trust dungeons it takes for a DPS to queue in a roulette. Plus you get dibs on all the loot. Is how Ive been doing my DPS leveling since tanks/healers get all the fast queues for now.

Alisaie is like that player who only ever played DPS and now wants to try healing, but can't sustain a standard wall to wall pull from the tank. Alisaie bad healer is canon boys

She healed pretty good with No worries when i was w2w pulling for wuk lamat as Summoner.

I like trusts they give you a chance to see unique character dyamics npc interactions with environment and most importantly read all those dungeon lore tidbits they leave lying around.

If you are the tank trusts are fine. if you are any other class its horrible

If you don't tank in trusts, it's so fucking slow Now sure how they are now in DT

They can keep up, even when you dps. The AI is set to grab aggro on anything that you pull, so you can still force large pulls, and their cds don't always follow the traditional timers.

It takes me around 25-30 minutes for a Duty Support. It takes me 15-20 minutes (in a good group) to finish a dungeon, with the strong possibility that we'll wipe, and it usually takes me between 5-10 minutes to queue for one. These days, Duty Support is unironically my usual go-to option. It's just so much more convenient and stress-free.

I think it’s trust is fine now, lately they have Been able to survive double pulls, so it doesn’t take as long

I remember how gcbtw healers used to deliberately kill me because i pulled 3 packs as a tank, because they cant press their buffs, and then they would say shit like its my fault

the solution is not: just play tank/healer. the solution is: display a ratio of people queueing, so others who are down to adjust can. right now: the adventurer-in-need thing is not even accurate. Tanks are always "in need", but healer gets the insta queue.

To be fair, I regularly encounter these scenarios with real people also

If it’s new content everyone’s going to have some moment of slip up but there’s no reason to try in casual content just stay alive and don’t make your healer overwork themselves

Only thing that's bad about trust is NPC can't pull wall to wall unless you are the one pulling them. Other than that, I learn more going in blind just by watching the NPC dodge mechanics.

Trusts has their own personality and behavior too, Alisaie is a greed goblin who’ll eat aoes and instantly use LB. Estinien doesn’t know what the fuck he’s going and often only move to safe zone AT THE LAST SECOND. Only Yshtola (Except on Vanaspati and Dead Ends for lore reason) and Urianger should be generally be trusted if you’re doing the instance for the first time. You can Wall to Wall on Trust tank, just make sure to grab second pack THEN RUN BACK ASAP. I already got 5 DPS to 100 from Trusts alone. Dawntrail Trusts are REALLY GOOD compared to previous expansions.

`tbf doing as a tank is way better since you can pull everything and use your CDs properly, If you let a trust tank and pull wall to wall they will likely die.

trust are fine if you are the tank because you can do a w2w pull. Any other role and its a 25min snoozefest.

I got my viper to 100 faster than some people in my fc got through msq with their old characters ,because they didnt want to use npcs in dungeons lol it took me 1 day to get to 100 from 80 all npcs dungeons. Just waiting for a normal q was 30 mins lol

2nd MSQ dungeon for plot reasons, but yeah...

Trusts are faster and better than 80% of the ff's community, and if you don't know a mechanic you can just stack on them since they are always on the right spot.

Trusts were horribly painful during SHB, so little damage....since then, they did a much better job at balancing them out.

Trusts are better than new groups and more efficient than paying a tank/healer for DPS runs

While Trusts don't take 30 minutes, Xeno still overestimates the clear speed. AI tanks don't pull w2w, and AI DPS use the same rotations on trash and bosses. Also, if you die, it's always back to the last checkpoint - no combat resses. And yeah, you could argue you can enter as a tank and pull w2w yourself - but why would you ever go into Trusts as a tank? Just go into DF, you'll get a queue pop basically instantly.

Are trusts slow? Sure. Are they slower than the healer I had in Lv93 who died midway on all three bosses, essentially forcing us to reset, let tank die about four times on trash between bosses and made us all run the dungeon for full 40 minutes? No. Trusts get it done, people saying "SORRY, FIRST TIME ;--;" who still fail basic stuff don't get it done. People who want harder dungeons forget that they will be getting healers like this one in PF.

Thank you, SE, for removing damage and, by an extent, enmity generation from DRK/GNB gap closer. That surely made my dungeon experience better.

All they have to do is increase enmity on the gap closer. They removed the damage because people were using them as part of their rotation. It's the same reason they have been changing gap closers on other jobs as well. I'm actually shocked they left SAM gap closer alone.

I know the trust can handle it in the 97 dungeon since I leveled my bard that way plus was gathering glam. Just had to pull the 2nd mob pack over and the tank stayed healthy the whole time.

Dont do Trusts as a tank cuz they'll never heal you fast enough. Like I'm pretty sure Alisae just spams Vercure as a "healer". Just do it as DPS and it will be much faster simce you are doing AOEs

As a dps I always run ahead and pull a second pack and have only wiped a couple of times from doing that. The NPCs don't AoE so that makes it slightly longer but it's still more than doable.

I just alt-tab and let the avatars kill everything. Free leveling basically. Go eat a sandwich or something.
