Dude this has been posible since ARR this is nothing new and not only WAR I have done this fight solo as PLD too and have seen DRK do it, every tank can do this, rare is the dungeon fight where you can't, it normally involves body checks

@@solidsnake434 Lol no it hasnt been possible since ARR, that's ridiculous. Tanks, particularly warrior, had a bit of self sustain but it was never as strong as it is now. The cooldowns were longer and the heals were weaker. I believe equilibrium was still there and good but they had bloodbath instead of nascent flash which was MUCH weaker and on a much longer CD.

@@DrakeWurrum well , not really, if you queue up with 3 dps and a war you can do the dungeon just fine, that's what we do in static the day of the savage tier release to farm tomestone.

On the Final Trail the whole party died at 40% except me, a GNB, the other tank, a WAR, and my buddy, a RPR. The other tank and I rotated Nascent Flash and HoC on the RPR to keep dps up and clear the trial. TANK SUPREMACY

Not even a WAR thing really, but just tanks in general. Solo'd about 3 different dungeon bosses on DRK this expansion. Dungeons have always been like this, did it plenty last expac aswell.

A few days ago, I took on Scarmiglione solo after passing his dps check because the only other people to pass it with me (another dps) didn't have enough HP to endure the attack, and Aurora didn't do enough of a job to keep them alive. Took him from around 50 percent to "he's dead, Jim". Bonus: I almost soloed Beatrice from 90 percent that same run, but she got me at 4.5 percent left. Healer didn't know how to esuna, or that they could esuna the doom at all. In either case, the rest of the party got a REAL good look at the fight mechs from that.

Dude the tanks I got in DF who don't use their CDs just winked out of existence when I died my first runs (don't judge, stuff hurts when you don't know mechs yet). I was constantly out of resourses and unable to dps during wtw pulls too because they were "keeping the big CDs for later"

As a Warrior main since 2.0 I approve this epic moment ^^ I did a 1 Man mode moment too against the 2nd trial boss fight in Dawntrail this week it was the first attempt and first run so i was like 'I WONT LET YOU WIN!!!" and everyone was cheering for me it felt awesome to do that again since Endwalker launch ^^ So amazing job Warriors are KINGS

Not on strike but this is literally something ive come to find so annoying over time and it happens a lot. Not even the DPS are alive. Like at first this stuff was cool and it can be fun in a friend group to have one person finish off a boss but to watch the tank solo the boss from half health in roulettes does get tiring especially cus it takes more time then just restarting the fight...

tbh thats just a skill issue, if you are having to watch only ur tank solo a boss its because ur party isnt doing the mechanics, and ur healing was prob low due to wanting to parse, plus soloing a boss isnt that hard but its also not trivial so if ur tank is soloing and winning i dont see an issue lol, just scroll youtube and watch guides. anytime i queue for trials i always watch videos beforehand if i dont know the mechanics(i main tanking)

and ngl this is prob my fav thing to do in the game, when the party dies and i solo the boss or keep the last dps alive as a paladin and we kill the boss. feels really good to do plus its nice not having to be healer dependent. that way the healer can focus on rotation, mechanics and keeping the other members alive

with healer being the hardest and most stressful role in the game i dont think they should add complexity to it. i see healer players struggle the hardest in dungeons and its mostly because of other players not doing things correctly

Maybe in casual content it could be considered that when compared to other roles in the same environment bc that's where you're actually pressured to heal the most believe it or not. I have an easier time healing in savage than a new expert or alliance raid bc ppl keep messing up mechs and dropping left and right, picking up vuln stacks and being thrown to low hp constantly. in savage you're in a coordinated group with pre-planned mits and the actual healing aspect is a joke, and if someone messes up you're all dead anyways. Either way ppl messing up should not be a basis for healer design in any content

@@stabegabe I'd def argue it being the hardest, Not from complexity but more from what's expected of it compared to the other roles besides a tanks mitigation not being correctly used healer has a alot of boxes to check off compared to the other 2 to be considered good, When I dps or tank I'm mostly reliant on my own mitigation, positioning and simple rotation, On dps it's occasional utility and a high focus on rotation with positioning, healer has to make sure everyone is good even when they are performing poorly, and then on top of that they need to also watch mechanics, do the optimal rotation, and use their utility, they also gotta make educated decisions on if they should res a dps or not and etc so ya if ur arguing complexity in class design I'd agree it's not as hard as a dos but for optimal role performance it's easily the hardest, I'd even make the argument that tank is the easiest in optimal role performance and complexity in class design, A good dps is the best form of mitigation for a tank

i like this videos because it just proves dps and healers weaknesses are huge compared to tanks

The healers who go on strike are playing dps with 3+vulns, please go back to having 2keys

I play war and gnb I love doing that lol

it really is just a war issue, had quite a few moments were we lost our healer in dawntrail dungeons and if the tank wasn't war there was 0 chance we were killing the boss if they were still over 25%

I mean warrior has always been insane. And at lvl 100 gets even crazier I love it haha. I feel the raids are going to be extremely intense with the state of jobs ATM. Ggs though that's sick how long did it actually take you?

i had to do this once as gunbreaker because the healer randomly left and the leader couldnt figure out how to press the requeue button i guess warrior is the only one that can deal with that amount of stack markers, i was lucky i didnt have to deal with any

I think I'll level up my warrior now.

Tbf none of the other tanks can do this with this much ease. It would be doable on Pally for sure but it's much more difficult. DK and GNB is where it gets real dicey. Warrior is just on another level in casual content.

@@Raven3557 It paints a clear fundamental problem with healer design, it doesn't even matter if you can go back and redo it faster. The pt is even with the whole group present, the healer really isn't justified in being there. You could try to make a similar argument for dps, but the point is that they are able to fulfill their roles purpose just fine, healer just doesn't even matter. You're better off taking a 3rd dps. Then you could do it EVEN FASTER :D

I'm in a level 100 dungeon when the healer has to go. Since the game is still in early access, and it's quite late, there is no other healer queuing in. I jokingly said "we don't need a healer, let's just pull". Me, DRG, with WAR and SMN, did clear that dungeon fully without a healer. It was Alexandria dungeon, tank was pulling slow so no problem with mob pulls. Only the first boss is a problem since there is a stack and TB happens at once so it's a bit tough to deal with, but the other 2 boss is just dodging AOE. Idk, but healer strike is real

Xeno single handedly gonna be responcible for Warriors getting nerfed.

First time running the final story dungeon, final boss killed everyone but the WAR who knew the fight. Boss was at 83% Wouldn't wipe "Im trying to die, I swear," as he continues to do every mechanic correctly. Sat there for 17mins while he eventually won. This is my problem with how strong WAR is at content with no enrage. If the WAR wants to finish the fight, and he's good enough, he will. At the expense of everyone else

As cool as solo tanking can be, it gets tiring after a while. Especially when the boss has most of its health and the team is forced to watch the slow ass fight while held hostage by the tanks ego.

Blue healer is one of my favorite classes. In EW I soloed the final boss in the 87 dungeon with my Paladin. Done that stuff a couple of times and it does feel good so I hope it doesn’t change.

This seems like less of a balance issue and more of the SE last resort for players stuck with bad teammates at this point, I've had way too many runs of dungeons where people keep dying (Partially why I'm tank main). Sometimes you're just never going to get through a fight with the important people alive.

Nice! Now that tanks are capable of surviving on their own, it's now morally correct for healers to flame them if they need healing. Healers are truly just DPS with a green job icon now 😊

I realize this has been possible for awhile now, and its cool and all that you can do that, my only issue is that now the rest of the party is just kinda...sitting there waiting that entire time, not fun, regardless of balancing ect

I can't wait for 8.0 when WAR gets even more heals and do more damage than DPS. Healer as a role will be deader than beating the dead horse

As some said, easy fix is just make bosses have a mechanic that unless cleansed will insta-kill the player once a certain time interval is reached. Like at the start of the boss fight, every 5 mins the boss does the insta-kill mechanic. Heck have some bosses tank busters give you that debuff that unless cleansed will one shot. Granted only in dungeons cause in trials or raids it may become a nuisance.

Honestly the bigger issue with this video is the fact idiots in groups will try to simulate it and waste 20 minutes of everyone's time instead of walling to reset and clear in 5 minutes.

This happened with me today while playing as pld, instead it was on that buff cactuar with only 20% hp remaining. "Hooray free carries" said the dps

ye, I have done w2w pulls with PLD without a healer and no invuln as well which is much harder than a boss since far more damage. If anything I would say PLD is even more capable than WAR for solo because it has block + sustain and then the shield from guardian on top of that. Only thing WAR has going for it is a lower recast for invuln, so it has the edge there for living longer in hardcore content I guess.

I hope they don't nerf this because sometimes my god.. healer dies at 60% because of stupid shit and theres no other ressers. Why would I wipe the party and try again only for the healer die again early. I'm sorry me and the dps will try our best to clear (or tank alone). Fights should not only be dependent if the healer lives.

Actually i think there will be no nerfes, warrior has crazy sustain thats true but to do this ya need a fuckin lot of Fokus, game sense (midigation juggle), and mechanic knowledge. And this is just normal content. If warrior could solo current savage that would be a total different Story. And dont forget He is a raidtank too so He plays on a much higher lvl then most Tanks out there.

Jokes aside…healing class in terms of its intended role has become a joke. It’s no longer a healing class but more so a support dps.

The thing is: when everyone is doing their mechanics right, something like this SHOULD NOT happen. WAR was not designed to be like this on purpose. You can only see this kind of shit when the rest of the party dies. The question is: is this really a design problem or a skill issue? I would say a bit of both.

Why does everyone get so upset when a tank solos a boss? It’s a tanks dream to solo bosses! I’m a WAR main, myself. You can really only solo stuff in the normal/casual content anyways. Extreme trials and up, the self sustains are next to useless and it is all based on your knowledge of mechanics and positioning. So, healers, strike all you want. Don’t feel challenged enough? Do extreme and savage content first.

It's ok if you doing with group of friends. But in rulets with random peoples it's could be very annoying especially if boss still have a lot of hp and everyone had to wait. I remember i did this few time on PAL. Pretty cool feeling ngl :)

welp time to nerf GNB and DRK

I tanked the Vanguard final boss by myself at 75% health when my team wiped. The boss just simply does not throw enough attacks at you to counter the amount of buffs and healing GNB has. Felt good for the first time completely finishing the boss on my own without any DPS or healer help. Mind you, if I got hit by any AoE it would have been a wipe, but if i dodged any major hits outside of tank busters or natural stack mechanics, the rest was cake walk.

Did the same thing with drk on the last boss of alexandria 😅

I remember doing this as a drk a few times though i was always on deaths door

Had a similar occurance today as I was tanking on my WAR but I chose to die after all three others died early. Could have soloed, have soloed once before but it would take extra time which I could better spend elsewhere. You do you Xenos.
