What do i do when my drain does not have a trip lever mechanism?

My tub is evidently about 30 years old as it doesn't have the trip lever mechanism like you showed. How do I get the snake down into the drain?

Thanks for explaining that the knobs can get stuck. After trying penetrating oil, I resorted to grabbing the knobs with channel lock pliers, which finally did the trick.

hey i'm hoping you can help me out. I am going to be doing this exact repair on my shower, but I got another issue on top of it. My shower valve is leaking from the shut offs on the side (hot side). Is there a way to replace the O-Rings or something here? It's leaking right next to the flathead screw which tells me that O-ring is shot

What you did will work 100% as well as any other installation for sure however, this is diy quality for anyone that wants professional level results. Just a few tips (take it or leave it). Straps on tank: line up the tensioner bolts and possibly angle them out of sight. Copper tee: very unnecessary, there are much easier ways to install a tee than soldering one. Not to mention, that was a very poor soldering job, especially considering you did that on a table. Flex hose to expansion tank: completely unnecessary and much more costly than piping into the tank and only having one hose to the water heater. Also, that hose wasn’t even long enough or you could’ve mounted the tank lower. I also would’ve patch the holes before mounting anything. More could be said but just a few suggestions like I said, that install is perfectly fine as far as mechanically speaking 👍🏻

While I saw people make jokes, I admire your intuitively genius teaching skill to cut out the front of the tank purely for the purpose of transparency to explain it SO EASY TO UNDERSTAND AS A PIECE OF CAKE!! I appreciate YOUR TALENT AND GOOD WORK. Without you do that cut off the front of the tank, it's hard to explain the inside water on-off mechanism of the tank. I know how stupid students do not appreciate their good teachers!!

I see 2 water valves, one set lower and one upper, I assume the upper ones are for the sink (hot and cold), but the lower ones? I'm assuming again that the supply is from the right in the copper tube is cold and the left one looks like hot water going to the DW?

Excellent how-to video. I almost think I can do it myself but will probably let my amazing plumber do it. I have to move my existing water heater to access the wall behind it (has a big hole that rodents are accessing.) The current copper pipes don't allow for any movement at all even though there is some slack in the gas line.

תרגום טקסט באמצעות המצלמה Friend, you explain very well and you are also very professional, you did not explain a very important thing to us, at the end of the installation. I bought a trash grinder and am getting ready to install it. You did not explain how you connect the tube of the activation button to the garbage grinder, which is very important. thank you friend.

I followed these instructions exactly, and the hot/cold was reversed when I was done. I tried flipping the red dot 180° with no luck. Then I tried flipping the back part of the cartridge (with the O ring) 180° WRT the white part. Still reversed. ???
