Hey Dan... Another awesome vid! Over the years it's been my experience that the main shut off valve is near impossible to operate . I have even found some that were so mutilated no wrench could close or open the valve. I don't want to say how I've addressed this issue in the past. Now that I've found you, maybe a professional answer/video could show us that type of valve the gas company uses and how you address those situations where the valve has been abused. Perhaps showing new or prospective homeowners how a properly operating main gas shut off valve should work.. Thanks again for your video series...

You can buy the little fire fighter valve either vertical or horizontal style

How do you know that you didn't cause a leak in the wall turning that elbow? At least you should have used a backup wrench so if there was a leak it would be outside. Other than that, nice job.

@@AgentOffice gusty60 is referring to the nipple passing through the exterior of the house. Yes, you did need a backup wrench on there. For all you know, there is a leak now inside the house (unless it was exposed inside and you checked for leaks there also).

sometimes its a pain in the butt getting those things level.. specially when the meter is in a crawl space all crooked . good money maker though

As a licensed gasfitter, the answer is no. Regardless, there is union on the meter.
