  I'm sure all of this AI stuff is super cool, looks impressive. But from a consumer stand point, I didn't really see how this was going to be easy to use. Each presenter had a different app or website they were using.

  Android Studio Bot was announced in Google I/O '23 and was released as Gemini in Android Studio just a week prior to I/O '24. Hey Google, what's the point of announcing products still in development? This is getting more and more ridiculous by the year. I'll believe those myriads of products announced this year when I see them. Until then, 🥱

  Please! No more AI. Focus on something useful. Applications, utilities, features. For example, take Gboard; if I have text selected and type: ". Could I have the selected text wrapped in double quotes instead of a double quote replacing the selected text? So... SELECTED TEXT > type: " > becomes: "SELECTED TEXT" instead of ". That's the kind of small, daily quality of life updates and features I need, not some concept, grandiose AI nonsense.

  Tried Gemini as my Google assistant yesterday and it kept crashing. It couldn't even do what's pretty easy for the normal Google Assistant to do, like making a note. Switched back today.

  I’m sure it’s a great product and company but I hear the word “Sonos” and I can’t tap the fast forward button fast enough. They get a strangely disproportionate amount of The Verge coverage (it seems) but then everybody probably thinks that for products they can’t give two Fs about. 🤷🏼‍♂️

  1. A lot of things that will rollout this year/summer etc. Without anything concreate. So by the time it will release no one will remember this BEAUSE of the point 2. 2. THERE ARE TOO MANY THINGS, too many names too many functions. I don't want to keep nothes of the apps names of what can do what. I don't want to use "Chip" to do this, I don't want to go Astra to check the this video or go to Google Video to upload and ask some troblooshot question for that and on top of it to use Google Teammate to do some other nonsense. I want to use as little apps as possible for that. Idealy 1 Gemini and gemini is a little behind with functionality, by the tame all the features will roll out GPT or Copilot will be far away. But honestly I am glad goolg is behind and catching up to competition.
