Good job leaning on the personal side for us to relate! I like The Verge because of the parasocial relationship I developed with you through the podcast. Respecting privacy, this is great.

You can relate to this guy not being able to use a phone?
Watches / earbuds combo make more sense "space wise" or the Raybans as well.
Reminds me of that episode of The Simpsons where Bart gets a Label Maker for his birthday.
Bring back the Chumby with AI
the way to get organized is to think about where stuff should logically be stored (as close as reasonable to where it is used) and apportioning space to all the things which should be in a given area
These remind me of those gadgets before smart phones that were just for messaging. Forget the name. Then smartphones came out and those were done. These belong with those.

Pagers?
My husband says one-touch method will save time. Eg load and unload the dishwasher by its cabinets and put stuff away without a rest-stop on the counter
I've been waiting for this one!
great intro
Can no tech company besides Humane imagine a future with less screens, not more?

Vision is the most technically useful sense we possess, why would we suddenly decide to stop using it?

No because that is a very niche segment of the population that wants that future, not the majority. Go move to the country and eat a lot of peaches. I am sure you will find happiness. The rest of us will enjoy our screens full of AI bots.

Even if AI got powerful enough to trust with your daily phone tasks, there are still things that are better with a screen. We are a visual species. Instead of eliminating screens from our life, we need to learn discipline to not lose ourselves in them. Start that journey by deleting social media apps from your phone and turn it into a tool. You don't need to buy an expensive gimmick device to reduce screen time.

A phone you say I can’t imagine such a thing 😊
When people say the Rabbit R1's functionality should just be an app, I think they're missing the point. The Large Action Model isn't an app. It's an operating system. it tells other apps what to do. So I do think the technology will end up on a phone eventually, but it'll be the OS rather than another app on your phone.

LAM is installed on a computer in the cloud, you can create an app on the phone to interact with it to perform all the actions.

The technology is 30 years old and still I don't see anyone talking to computers. When they force you to do so (customer service) it is very irritating.
Is AI the new quantum or the new nano?

It's the new Segway.
6:24 People clearly won't want to carry around two digital gadgets this is why the phone will be like a Swiss knife accomplishing everything. Humane Ai appears to be too slow and suffers processing powers because of its tiny hardware design that is not fit for that type of work load. Therefore the phone is the ultimate winner in the Assistance gadget arena.
I just photobashed a new AI Earbud Wearable Concept on Artstation and Dribbble All Seeing, Always Listening, Always Helpful Unprompted. Gesture: Nodding, Anything's a Virtual Interface. Remember: Your Whole Life. Battery: 20hr in-ears. Handoff: Onboard, Pocket, Cloud AI Multimodal: Sight and Sound Remote Control: Phone / Desktop OSs
I feel like ive already heard the android phones instead of ai assistants audio before...
I think the Rabbit would be a great device for kids and teens.

all it's good for is point it at things and asking 'what is it am-I looking at?'. useless
What age do you give a kid a phone ... you give them a rabit r1
As someone who is into organizing, your kitchen looks messed up
second
Yes your phone is the best Ai device and so there is no reason to buy any half baked Ai device in my opinion.
